The remains of a soldier are returned to the family who dispute the fact that the remains are those of Jimmy Blackhorse. Harm and Mac, with the aid of Bud, Harriet and Lt. Cmdr Coulter, mut determine the owner of the bones without disrespecting anyone. As they do, many secrets are uncovered.

An F-14 collides with a heliocopter midair over Italy. Harm and Mac are sent to investigate the incident and defend the pilot fo the Tomcat. Mac is required to prosecute the incident which could lead to a demise of the US Navy's position in Italy.

As Bud and Harriet's wedding approaches, many problems arise. Things start to go wrong when Harm's dress whites go missing. Before long, Bud, Harm and the Admiral find themselves in jail with Mac bailing them out. Harriet has doubts of her own, and the wedding almost ceases to go ahead. Luckily, everything is sorted out and Bud and Harriet make it down the aisle.

This is like the second part of "Skeleton Crew", in that it deals with the murder of Diane Shonke. Harm tells the story of her murder and the following investigation to Mac. He manages to get away from her and confronts Diane's killer. This is the episode where Harm and Mac share "the kiss".

Harm takes Josh out on a Tiger cruise. Whilst at sea, they rescue what appear to be refugees, but turn out to be terrorists who take over the ship. Harm and Josh manage to avoid being captured and attempt to contact someone on the shore for help.

A Tomcat is forced to land with no fuel a petty officer makes a miscalculation. The petty officer then claims that she was sexually harrassed afterwards by a master chief who offered to make the problems go away. Dalton uses Mac and copies private files from her desk, and the pair break up.

Mac is being stalked. The stakes are raised when Dalton Lowne is killed. Mac struggles to cope anf turns to the drink, which leads her to her losing control and insulting Harm. The Admiral's daughter, Francesca, is introduced to the members of JAG.

A marine corporal is unable to concentrate at work because of a pending custody battle with his estranged wife. Budgeting problems make the invesitgation and following court cases difficult. The corporal gets himself into further trouble when he kidnaps his son.

A friend of Admiral Chegwidden's appears to have committed suicide. Another of his friends is then murdered. An investigation into the deaths reveals that the Admiral's life may be in danger.
