| Sarah "Mac" MacKensie was introduced to JAG at the beginning of season two as Harm's new partner. She replaced Lt. Meg Austin. |
| When Mac was first introduced to the show she was a marine Major, but since then has been promoted to Lt. Colonel. Her promotion was somewhat of a mystery, as she was a Major at the end of season four, but was a Lt. Colonel by the commencement of season five. She even kept this promotion a secret from Harm, who was serving on a carrier as an aviator at the time. |
| Mac has had her fair share of dramas in her life. As a recovering alcoholic she joined the US Marine Corp, where she went on to become a JAG lawyer. During her time on the show, viewers have seen her husband, Chris Ragle, return and arrested for his murder. She was also stalked, which result in Dalton Lowne being shot. |
| Like Harm, Mac has had her fair share of relationships. The return and death of her husband Chris Ragle was a surprise to all JAG watchers, as well as the characters of the show. Her relationship with Dalton Lowne came to an end when he read confidential papers on her desk which were relevant to a court case in which Harm was defending, and Dalton was prosecuting. |
