| Albert Jethro Chegwidden is a former Navy SEAL who transferred to the JAG Corp. The show regularly makes reference to this fact. |
| During the time that JAG has been on the air, many secrets have been revealed about the Admiral. Possibly the biggest secret was that he had a daughter, Fransceca Peretti who regularly makes appearances on the show since her introduction. Related to this is the fact that the Admiral was formerly married. Much about the side of his life is seen in the episode "Going After Fransceca" in which his daughter is kidnapped. |
| The Admiral is cnsiderably protective of the officers under his command. This is seen when Harm and Mac have been in a number of situations at the hands of Clayton Webb. One time, the Admiral even broke Clayton Webb's nose. |
