Delerium - Silence (DJ Tiesto mix)
Reviewed 25th July 2000
Well what can i say - this is one of those tunes that grows and grows on you, and then it starts to wrap it's stems around your neck till u cannot breathe!! This is one of my definate favourites at the moment, and I don't think that I'm the only one who is saying that!! This tune is amazing it really is, one of the biggest tunes in clubland at the moment, especially Crasher - where I've heard it twice now. Some great vocals and a nice tune which all just erupts into amazing blissed out melodic trance at the end with a sing along build up which is unprecidented!! It's just when that tune comes sweeping in and everyone's arms go straight upwards in euphoric bliss!! Amazing - well done Tiesto for an amazing mix!!
I ain't been able to get a copy of this on vinyl yet, although Alpha Omega tells me he has a Promo copy of it from HMV, but the HMV in Reading ain't got it!! grrrrrrrrrrrr
They told me that's due out on 21st August with a load of remixes coming out the following week.
Mind you it's gonna be on the Crasher album out next week, and so hopefully they'll put it on the vinyl release too, then we can all get it early!!
Roll on...
RATING - 10/10 - u gonna disagree? I dare ya!!

An absolute blinder - I challenge any of you out there to listen to this tune full blast and tell me it ain't one of the greatest tunes of the year so far!! Go on I dare ya!!
This tune is a fantastic tune with one amazing build up and blistering breakdown, really banging!! Amazing tune that just builds up and up and up to a whirling trancey mixture - ooohhh I can just imagine the stage @ Crasher with this tune on the decks!! The lasers going faster than the speed of light, the floor vibrating with every single hammering beat, glowsticks waving everywhere, the chilled out Euphoria filling the atmosphere and...*wakes up* ooh sorry, got a bit carried away there - but yea - blinding tune!!
I dunno when it's coming out but you can get hold of it on the free CD with Ministry mag this month, ok it's a Dave Pearce Mix CD, but if you can get by the embarressment of letting the shopkeeper see wot a saddo you are for buying a Dave Pearce Mix, then rip it out of the case and wack on track 9 and turn the volume to the highest point and beleieve me, you'll see it was worth it!!

Rockafellas - Da boss Track
White Label
Reviewed 25th July 2000 You may well have heard this on on Judge Jules' Radio 1 show recently. Based on Azzido Da Bass - Dooms Night, this tune rocks, I don't normally go for tunes like this, but i like this one, I picked it up yesterday on white label. Got the repetitive 'Wow' noise on there that keeps going amidst Rap style vocals/samples (which, again I usually hate). Wicked bassline on this one too. Top tune, one to get a crowd going.

Dejure - Do you Beleive?

Reviewed 25th July 2000
Wow, picked this one up yesterday, amazing!! With 'Sanctuary' being one of my fave tunes, this one tops that, tis more on the floaty trance side than the Hard House sounds of Sanctuary, therefore is a fookin' uplifting number that takes you to the clouds!! Nothing exceptionally new but absolutely brilliant all the same, you just gotta wack this one into your mix - guarenteed to lift a crowd!!

Wow now this is what you call Trance - absolutley amazing, sooooooooooo melodic it'll make you boo your eyes out!! Yes tis one of those tear Jerkers with such an uplifting little tune. Not sure who it's by, I've only heard it a few times, but it rocks beleive me, I've yet to hear it in a club, but beleive me, I can't wait!!

Kundalini Rising - Kayomani

Now what attracted me to pick this tune up were the words 'Cyberkid Remix' on the cover!!
Well I just had to pick it up and listen to it - CJ Bolland's Serpent mix and the radio Edit both being crap, I was pleasently surprised to hear the other side with the Cyberkid Mix on. As I thought, was a Trance Mix!! Tis very good I must say, Nice and Melodic, just what I like. Worth buying if you like the usual Trancey style stuff!!

Agnelli and Nelson - Hudson Street
Extravaganza
Reviewed 25th July 2000
Wow (I know I start off nearly every review with that word but who cares?!!), this tune is amazing, completely different from their past balearic ventures, this one is more of a slammer, it's just when that tune slams in in the middle!! I remember when I was last @ Crasher and I had my pic taken wiv this cyberkid (pic captioned about the cyber kid with biggest eyes compo) , and I was in the middle of talking to him and then this tune came on a I just said 'Oh I love this tune' and ran off without even saying goodbye!! Straight onto the dance floor I went and danced my arse off to this tune!! Tis amazing, has a wicked tune, slamming bassline - beautiful concoction!! Tis weird, they release one single in 98, one in 99 and then two in the space of two months in 2000 - wicked!!

Monteverde - Path to Utopia/Interface
Casa Nostra
Reviewed 25th July 2000
Another top tune from Casa Nostra, Path to Utopia is in a similar vein to Digger - Episode 1/Church of Ra. Whereas Interface is a little more on the Euro Trance side, slightly more commercial sounding than it's more progressive style counterpart.
Both tunes do their job and it's a welcome vinyl to buy, with 2 top tunes on there.
Yup, 2 more top tunes to add to the growing list of wicked tunes around at the moment. Recommended

Yess this is a wicked little trancer - definatetly on the melodic side. First heard this on @ God's Kitchen when Judge Jules was there a few months ago. Blew me away when I heard it in there, and it still does, cos this is amazing one. A definite tear jerker like 'Eternity', please buy - cos you'll really regret it if you don't!!

**MOST POPULAR TUNE THIS SUMMER SO FAR**

DARUDE - SANDSTORM
Well I think that if you were to look at this and think 'Eh? What's that tune? Don't fink I've 'eard that one before' then you must be the lowest lowlife, sheltered, sad piece of scum ever to grace the earth!!
Cos this is without and doubt this years '9pm Til I Come', this years 'Music Sounds Better With You', the tune to conquer Ibiza this summer.
Every club has been playing this one out over the last couple of months, an instant crowd pleaser that's for sure, with that repetitive riff buzzing on throughout, this tune from Finnish DJ Darude is simply MASSIVE and will be remembered in years to come

Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Power of Love - Rob Searle Club Mix - ZTT Records

Reviewed 28th June 2000
Not really any need to write anything about this one cos we've all heard it millions and millions of times!! Brilliant trance re-working of the 80s classic, a real tear jerker and one that brings everyone in a club together *remembers one of his best clubbing moments - God's Kitchen when Jules dropped this one and everyone sang along with their arms in the air...!! ahhhhhhhh bliss

Dawn Seekers - Gothic Dream - Platipus/In Trance we Trust Records

Reviewed 28th June 2000
Ahhhhhh wot bliss it is to hear another one like this, at least now I know this beautiful melodic trance isn't completely extinct. The style that was so massive last year is all captured in this tune. Amazing melodic tune at the start and in the middle and which is continued over pounding beats, very very trancey - get it right away!!

DJ Visage (feat. Clarissa) - The Return (Time to Say Goodbye) - Return Mix - One Step Music Records

Reviewed 28th June 2000
This one came out a short while back, very very commercial sounding, using the tune from that sad sad tune that was in the charts a couple of years ago by Sarah Brightman. It works really well over a trancey beat, but does sound like something Sash would have done. Cheesy.

Waheeyy, once again remix masters Pulser release a solo tune!! They've done a top Job on this one, typical pulsery beats with a nice tune over the top - top stuff guys - keep 'em rolling out!! The Dub Mix and the Original Mix are virtually identical, but who cares - u can never have too much of a good thing - esp when it's music!!
Can these guys do no wrong?

Sunburst - Eyeball - Nebula Records

Reviewed 28th June 2000
Waheyyyy What a tune this is!! Two wicked mixes - the banging Original 12" Mix that was used in the Kevin and Perry Go Large film, and the more trancey brilliant mix from Pulser, which tweaks the tune ever so slightly and makes it miles better.
When I fist heard this tune , I thought it was a Matt Darey production, because of the synths used, they are almost exactly the same as the ones used in 'From Russia with Love' by MD.
A real tune for the clubs this one - a class tune!!

Embargo - Hysterie - Dark Moon Mix - Duty Free Recordings
Reviewed 28th June 2000
A more underground progressive sounding tune, but moves on to some trancey riffs halfway through, and then goes back again, nothing very special as it doesn't really go anywhere but a great tune for kicking off a set with (I used it to start my latest mix tape).

Unknown Artist - Jerusalem - Classical renaissance

Arghhhhhhh, yet more cheese, clearly released to coincide with Fat Les' Euro 2000 single which interestingly uses EXACTLY the same classical piece. Nah actually this does sound pretty good, the Original Mix is very uplifting and trancey, not bad considering it's cheesyness.
