Your final task as a group, is to present your findings to the class. The scientist, doctor, minister of religion and ethicist's views will have been presented to the group by those researching these roles. The group will have discussed all of the findings and will have come to a consensus on the big question.
A reminder about the issue:
"The technology exists to treat Parkinson's Disease using neurons created from human stem cells generated from early stage human embryos."
A reminder about the question:
What recommendations should the committee make to the Minister regarding the use of human embryos for the creation of stem cells to be used in the treatment of Parkinson's Disease?
Your presentation is a group presentation. As a group, you are now taking on the role of the Commonwealth Minister for Health and Aged Care and you must convince the class that the conclusions you have come to about the issue of the use of gene therapy as treatment for Parkinson's Disease are the correct ones. To do this, you will have to present to the class a comprehensive summary of the findings of each of the roles. You must explain to the class the conclusions you have come to as a group, justifying each of these conclusions.
This presentation must be presented in as professional a manner as possible. A Powerpoint presentation or at least the inclusion of overheads should be considered. Remember that no visual aid can stand by itself - it can only ever complement your presentation. You must still speak to the aids you use. At the end of the presentation, you must be prepared to answer questions from other class members.
