2000 Qantas International




Andreea Isarescu traveled to Australia in February to compete at the Qantas International Challenge. Yasmine Loupis was kind enough to supply a report on Andreea's performance and some photographs of Andreea for Presacan Plaza.

All Around :
Vault - nice layout Phelps - score of 9.225
Bars - gorgeous pirouettes - 9.475
Beam - front pike to changement jump combination. Large step on the landing - 9.275
Floor - lovely choreography and great tumbling as usual - 9.400

Andreea placed 2nd in the all-around.

Event Finals :
Beam - lovely until a fall (miscalculated her switchleap side shushunova). Tried to hold on underneath in a chin-up position ( :) ), but eventually had to put her feet on the ground - 8.912

Andreea placed 8th in the balance beam.

Floor - Almost the same as in AA, but much neater landing on her tumbling runs - 9.675

Andreea placed 2nd in the floor exercise.
