AFTERSHOCK SOFTBALL (6/26/08)
The Aftershock softball team continues to roll after defeating
powerful Bethlehem to improve to 4-2 in the Hudson Mohawk Red Division. Strong
pitching has been displayed by Caraline Wood, MacKenzie Bump, and Rachael
Apfel. Together, they have struck out dozens of batters, and Caraline still
is undefeated in 3 starts. Emily Misnik and Tiffany Dwyer have been a strong
force behind the plate - as they have adapted quickly to runners trying to
steal home and the drop third strike rule. Stealing multiple bases, Madison
Akots, Hannah Shoemaker, and Victoria Chennette have been blazing a trail
of smoke along the base path. MacKenzie Bump, Caraline Wood, Alexandria Chandler,
Tiffany Dwyer, and Andrea Debboli have had multiple hits in the games thus
far - including doubles and triples! The outfield has been aggressive but
sharp to this point. Samantha Laranjo, Jessica Marsh, Rachael Apfel, Madison
Akots, Victoreya Chennette, and Hannah Shoemaker have come through when needed.
At shortstop, Jenna Miner and Hannah Filuta show they are quick, agile, and
display rocket arms.
Aftershock continues to improve and we invite you to come and enjoy Aftershock
softball at home on 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, and 7/21. All games start at 6:15 p.m.
