2000–2001 Chair Congressional Ways and Means Committee n Chaired the committee in charge of distributing $675,000 of student fees to student organisations. 2000–2001 Executive Member Congressional Impeachment Committee n Nominated to serve on the Congressional Impeachment Committee empowered to review all impeachment charges for student officials. 2000–2001 Chair Art of Networking n Organised the finances, recruitment, publicity, and committee for the 5th annual Art of Networking forum. The Art of Networking forum is an annual event that brings students and career leaders together to discuss career possibilities and prospects. 2000–2001 Supply Chair and Executive Member The Big Event n Member of the Executive Council, in charge of purchasing and maintaining supplies for The Big Event—a one-day, university wide, community service project involving student volunteers (in the thousands). 2000–2001 Representative-At-Large Campus Activities Council n The Campus Activities Council is the largest programming body at the University of Oklahoma. In charge of organising and maintaining such events as Homecoming, Dad’s Day, and Concert Series. 2000–2001 Executive Member Conoco Student Leadership Wing Space Allocation Committee n Nominated to serve on the committee empowered to allocate all space in the new Conoco Wing of the Oklahoma Memorial Union. 2000–2001 Student Intern Leader Retention Intern Program n Selected to participate in a program where each mentor is given twelve “at-risk” freshman students to nurture through there first, and most difficult, year at the University. 2000–2002 Associate JC Penney Leadership Center n Selected into membership of the Price College of Business’s prestigious leadership program where associates participate on business leadership panels, business recruitment trips, and leadership conferences. 2000–2001 Representative Student Congress n Elected by the student body to serve as a Representative on sessions LXIV and LXV. 1999–2001 Executive Member Union Programming Board n Elected to serve on the Union Programming Board’s executive committee. 2000–2001 Executive Secretary Ring Committee n Selected to serve on the inaugural OU Ring Committee. The committee goals were to create the official OU ring, market that ring, and ensure that it becomes a tradition and honor and the University. We were selected as Jostens’s 2001 Signature School with the committee’s work highlighted at the national convention as well as at several other universities throughout the country. Currently working on an $8.4 million dollar endowment so that every student who graduates from the University will receive a complementary ring, allowing us the distinction of being the only university in the country to have such a tradition. 1999–2000 Voting Member Letzeiser Medal Selection Committee n Appointed to the Letzeiser Medal Selection Committee, which selects the thirteen seniors who have displayed the highest traits of academics, leadership, and community service at the University of Oklahoma. 2000–2001 Member Student Alumni Board n Selected to become a member of SAB, the organisation given the responsibilities of maintaining student to alumni relationships through retreats, events, and reunions. 1999–2000 Executive Member Congressional Way and Mean Committee 1999–2000 Executive Member UPB Red Ribbon Week Committee 1999–2000 Intern Student Congress 1999–2000 General Committee Member The Big Event 1999–2000 Committee Member Union Programming Board 1999–2000 Committee Member Spirit Committee |
