As with all Firehouse shows, I always have so much fun! This weekend was no different. On Friday, March 30, I traveled five hours west to St. Joseph, Minnesota. Then another four and a half hours up north to Grand Forks, North Dakota for the Saturday show. Getting to hang out at soundcheck was the greatest!! I had brought along some homemade chocolate chip cookies and I'm happy that everyone liked them! The guys always make me feel at home!
The guys kicked off the night with one of my favortie new songs, "Jumpin'", from the o2 CD. Followed by "All She Wrote" and "The Dark" another great new tune. Then "Hold Your Fire" and a sexy new tune "Take It Off". It was wonderful to hear C. J. playing piano to my always favrite "When I Look Into Your Eyes" and "I Live My Life For You". C. J.'s voice is just the best ever, no other voice can compare!! Then there was Bill's awesome guitar solo, Bruce's smokin' bass solo, and Michael's drum solo which kicked ass! The smoke had barely cleared from the solos, when they played one of my all time favortes "Overnight Sensation"! Ooh I love that song! Followed by the beautiful "Love Of A Lifetime". Ooh I love that one too! Then followed the rockin' "Reach For The Sky". They finished the show with another new favorite of mine "Call Of The Night" and the always fave "Don't Treat Me Bad". Yeah, Yeah, Ok! So all of their songs are my favorite! I can't just pick one!! GREAT SHOW GUYS!!!! C. J., Bill, Bruce and Michael always leave the crowd wanting more!!
As always, after each show, they take time to sing autographs, take pictures and get to know their fans. It doesn't matter how many times I've met them, It's always a welcome treat to be able to hang out afterwards. After busting my butt, working 40 hours all week, this weekend party was just what I needed!!! THANK YOU!!!!  I've got some very nice photos I'd be happy to share!!
I have driven many miles over the years to see Firehouse play. I now live in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It was about a 9 hour drive, 634 miles one way. It doesn't matter how long the drive, to be able to spend time with C. J., Bill, Bruce and Michael, and the crew Bobby and Jan. Their friendship and hospitality make me feel special.!! It's worth every mile just to see their smiling faces! Thanks, you guys are the best! Saying goodbye is always the toughest part, but driving the long way home I remember the fun and look forward to the next Firehouse show.
