Country Chatter Newsletter
October, 2002
Welcome to the "new" Country Chatter Newsletter.

The last issue of Country Chatter was mailed out on Sept. 10, 2001  and then 9/11 happen and the whole world
as we knew it changed.and mine changed a month later when I got laid off from my job, and I did not find a
new one until Feb. 2002.  Then a even worst blow happen in December, my mom passed away in Chicago and we
could not get back for the funeral.  But.............. life seems to be turning around a little bit now.

It is now time for Country Chatter to be published again, in a new format with new articles, some of the old
ones, and some new departments.  Country Chatter started out in 1999, as a small newsletter for about 25 of
my friends who could not remember what was going in the valley for the month, with the start of the website
it grew and grew.  If this is your first copy of Country Chatter, it is just a small newsletter to help people keep
.in touch with each other and to share a small part of my world with you.  If you would like to taken off the
mailing list, please email me at dacarebear@yahoo.com and I will be more than happy to take you off the list.

For all my friends that have stood by me during this past year, this poem is for you

If Ever You Need Me

If you ever need me,
I'll be right here.
To chase away the sadness
And wipe away the tears.
If you ever need me,
I'll be two steps behind
To follow in your footsteps,
And hear what's on your mind.
If ever you need me,
You'll never have to fear,
That your presence isn't important,
And your love isn't dear.
If ever you need me,
I'll always be around,
To bring back the laughter,
Where deep in your heart it's found.
You'll never have to worry,
For I'll always be here.
To chase away the sadness
and wipe away a tear.
By Becky Williams

Catlin Court and Downtown Glendale

For those that are new to Country Chatter, I live in a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona called Peoria and the next
town over from us is called Glendale.  Glendale Antique Area was voted #5 in the nation for antiques by
USA Today.  Six years ago I had a shop in Catlin Court and it has been one of Claudia and mine place to spend
a Saturday afternoon visiting all the shops and dreaming.  The shops have changed and the shop owners have
moved out and new ones have moved in but the wonderful homes from the 1920's are still there.  As we check
out the new shops and some of the old, I will introduce two shops each newsletter.

If you would like to send me a recipe to be printed in the newsletter, please email and I will be more than

Well, I hope that you have made it down to this little part, I love talking about
Arizona, sharing this state with everyone.  I want to share a part of my world
with everyone.  Well the animals are out checking to make sure the house is
safe tonight and the only one who has helped me with the newsletter has been
Katie.  She has a magnet shaped with a computer in her cage,
and if you hit the keyboard,it yells out "You have mail"
and I think she enjoys scaring me with it.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Halloween, be a kid and dress up
and have a good time.
