Notes:

Complete show: Yes.

Musicians: The Replacements v 1 plus Alex Chilton

CD quality: Perfect, seamless copy apart from rough edits which appear on the original (see below).

Remarks:

Not bad. I like this show, a 6 on my highly subjective scale. The band are a little drunk, which is like saying they are a little sober. Which is to say nothing really. The point being that it’s a damm fine show, I like it, so there. The Foshay Tower site had this to say:

It's January 1985, and Alex Chilton was in town to produce the next Mats album. Of course they only finished three songs and then quit, but Alex did manage to attend this show while he was in the Twin Cities. So, between songs in this typical 1985 setlist, you get to hear Paul ask Chilton to come up onstage (which he finally does, toward the end of the show). This show includes a rare live performance of "Nowhere is My Home," one of the songs Chilton produced.

SOUND QUALITY: Professionally recorded soundboard tape, in stereo. Quality is 7 out of 10. Note: there are 2 or 3 sloppy edits between songs which are noticeable and slightly detract from the quality.
