I
shall be released Broadcast on WFMU, 6th September
1992.
Notes:
Complete show: Yes, with assorted fillers.
Musicians: Just Jeff on an unreliable guitar on most
of the tracks.
CD quality: Fine copy.
Sound quality: Great radio broadcast. Disc 2 tracks
8 to 11 are of slightly lower quality.
Remarks:
A really
mellow radio show, with an interview and session. I can’t believe the
interviewer: he’s so laid back, he’s horizontal. But this sets the mood right
and a comfortable Jeff fools around. Ah, even when the guitar lets him down,
Jeff keeps his cool. “How many guitarists does it take to change a light-bulb?”
I think he really didn’t want the show to end.
How many times have you heard “I shall be released” sung over the telephone? This is AMAZING stuff.
