Chris and Zuzana's Website!
It was September of 2000 when Zuzana started her, at that time, seemingly long journey of studies at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. She came to the university with an amazing amount of dreams about her education, which would enable her to have a future of an independent, successful woman. Most of it became true. She received a great education and overall she is a successful young woman. But there is one aspect of her life that didn’t quite follow her ideas about her future - Zuz is definitely not completely independent. Today there is someone whose love she totally depends on… At the same time Chris was trying to settle down. Those of you who are close to him know that he used to have a crazy side to him, such as rolled over vehicles, broken windows and noses, fights etc. At this point, Chris was prepared to give up all these wild aspects of his life, well most of them anyway. In other words, he was looking for the love of his life. During this time Chris’s mom Pat worked at the University of St. Thomas where she happened to meet Zuz. Pat and Zuzana would talk to each other almost every day and soon they became close. The two would talk, among other things, about Pat’s little white cat (those who know Pat know how she loves her Whitie, the cat). One of those “other” things Pat would mention here and there was her older son Chris, who happened to be single. Pat, already knowing that Zuz LOVED skiing but never got to do it in Minnesota, told her that Chris was a great skier and that he would take her skiing anytime. Getting back to the cat. Pat promised Zuz that she'd bring a picture of Whitie some day, and sure enough she did. “Accidentally”, her single son Chris, the skier, happened to be in the picture as well! In the mean time, Pat mentioned to Chris about this amazing girl from Slovakia, who she met and who he needs to take skiing. Pat told Chris she will get her phone number for him. And she did!
Chris and Zuz met for the first time on November 27th 2000. They went to Slovakia in the summer of 2001 and winter of 2002 to spend time with Zuz’s family and they adore Chris. On Christmas Eve 2003, Chris proposed to Zuz. He did it in Slovakian and he was great! Currently, the two are enjoying their engagement, getting used to calling each other fiancé, and planning their big “I do” day which they hope you can join them.
P.S. They still haven’t gone skiing together!
