| Christmas is such a magical time of year. The excitement of the children waiting to see what santa left to the hussle and bussle of shopping to find that perfect gift. The best memory I have of christmas as a child is being at "nanny's" house (all 25 grandchildren) exchanging presents and eating until we were ready to explode. Every year my dad would say hurry come out here and see santa and rudolph.....and out we went shoving and pushing to be the first one out. Our eyes would glisten as we saw what we thought was santa and rudolph with his nose so bright. Then came the time when we were rushing our parents because we knew that santa would not come and see us as long as we were still awake. We would arrive at home and just had to leave cookies and milk for santa. Years later we found out that all it was, was an airplane going by......LOL.....but the memories that I now have of that time are priceless!!!! Thanks dad for a wonderful memory! |

| A wonderful way to get your tree decorated with out wearing yourself out is to cook a nice dinner and invite lots of friends over, the only way they get to eat is if they each put so many ( whatever # you select ) on the tree. My friends mom started that tradition many years ago. Although her mother has now passed away my friend carries on that tradition. Not only does the tree get decorated but you get to spend time with your friends and family before all of the hussle of christmas. |
