In August 1999, my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by visiting the Greek island of Kefalonia. During
the course of that visit, we fell in love with the island and have been lucky enough to visit it every year since then.
Just after returning home in 1999, I wrote a poem about the holiday. This website contains the poem, illustrated by our
holiday photos. The poem would not win any prizes for poetry; it was only intended as an aid to help me capture the magic of
that holiday for all time. I hope that some of that magic comes across in the poem - and that it might hopefully inspire you
to want to visit the island for yourself!
