The Graves County High School Forensic Team traveled to the 1999 KHSSL State Tournament held at the campus of Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. Nine team members made the semifinal round of competition and four of those members also made the final round of competition placing in the top six at state. Those included were: Jon Brasfield (1) in Broadcasting; Corey Alderdice (4) in Prose Interp; Amanda Stahr (5) in Solo Acting; and Jason Green (6) in Extemp Speaking. The team placed Sixth in the Overall Sweepstakes.
The Forensic Team held their annual banquet on March 29, 1999. Team awards were given and the 1999-2000 officers were unveiled.

The Graves County High School Forensic Team would like to announce the engagement of former team Captain Jennifer (Jenny) Louis Walston. She will be married on August 6, 1999. Jenny also received Rookie of the Year and the 110% Award while on the team. She was recognized by KHSSL with the Dr. Giford Blyton Scholarship in 1998. We will post more details as they occur.
