Peter's Bio

Peter was born to John and Virginia Thorkelson on Feb. 13th 1942 in Washington D. C. He had two brothers named Nicholas and Christopher, and a sister named Anne Elizabeth.
   Peter took up music at an early age. He learned to paly the guitar at about 14 or 15. But Peter's original ambition was to an English professor, but while in high school he joined the drama club with an instrest in becoming an actor, and he had a performance as a paper boy in the play "Our Town". After high school he Collage with the idea of becoming an English professer, but unfortunatly he did not do so well, nad was asked to leave in his second term. Peter was also married during this time at 18 to a girl who was 16 years old but they broke it off after only 3 months because they were both just to young.
   After that he lived poor in New York for a while, but he wanted to make a name for himself, so he drove to California. Peter was working as a dishwasher at a night club at the time Stephen Stills told him about the Monkees adutions and he thought that Peter should go down and try it out and we all know that he got the part. So he stayed with the Monkees for a few years and was the first one to leave the group.
    Peter got married again to Barbara Iannoli and his daughter Hallie Elizabeth was born and in 1975 his son Ivan was born.
    In 1986, Peter Micky and Davy did the album "Pool It" together, and he toured with them as well.
    In 1997 they all went on to put out the album called "JustUs". And today Peter is still touring with Micky and Davy and does solo conserts as well.
