Mike was born in Dallas, Texas on Dec. 30th 1942 to Bette and Warren Nesmith, he was an only child. Bette left Warren while he was in the military and took Mike with her. His mother worked as a secretary, often leaving him home alone. Mike was married before he became a Monkee, to Phyllis Barour and they had two sons named Christian Du Val, and Jonathan Darby and a dauther name Jessica Buffler. But in 1967 Mike had an affair with Nurit Wilde and they had a son named Jason. Sometime or another Mike married Kathryn but they didn't have any children, and have since divorced. Mike recorded two singles for Colpix which later became Colgems before the Monkees under the name of Micheal Blessing. Mike was the only Monkee to see the famous ad in the Variety paper. Mike stayed with the Monkees til the album The Monkees Present he left after that, he went bankrupt after buying out of the Monkees contract, but in 1979 Bette sold her invention of Liquid Paper to Gillette and when Bette passed away in 1980 she left half her fortune to Mike and the other half to charity, he inherited almost 25 million dollars. Mike rejoined Micky, Davy and Peter for their new album JustUs, and some touring with the guys, but Mike is no longer doing tours with them because he hates touring.
