| Davy was born in Manchester, England on Dec 30th 1945 to Harry and Doris Jones, his sisters names are Beryl, Hazel and Lynda. At 14 Davy dropped out of school and became a jockey, but then relized his gift of acting and got parts in Broadway shows. He put out an album titled "David Jones" and had his own fan club before he was a Monkee. Davy married Linda Haines in 1968 they kept the marriage a secret because they didn't want to ruin Davy's heart throb available status. They evenually broke up but they did have two daughters Talia Elizabeth, and Sarah Lee. Davy eventually got re-married to Anita Pollinger and they had two daughters named Jessica Lillian and Annabel....but Davy and Anita have since devorced. Davy was the first choosen for the Monkees. And Davy was the only one with Micky to stay on til the very end. He joined up with Micky after that to do "Dolenz, Jones, Boyce, and Hart" in the 70's. In the late 70's and 80's Davy went on to do more Broadway shows and guest starring on different shows. In 1986 the Monkees got back together for their 20th reunion and again in 1996 for their 30th reunion. Davy, Micky, Mike, and Peter all got together again the next year (1997) to make their new album JustUs and tour England but Mike left after that because he hates touring, but Davy Peter and Micky are all still touring today.
