~ Hold On Girl ~ All is quiet in the Monkee pad. Everyone is sleeping off in their own dream worlds. Sleeping, dreaming, at peace.  When the sun finally breaks through the windows and into the eyes of everyone there. Mike is up first, hopping into the shower, so he gets a hot shower, not cold. When he gets out he passes Davy, and Davy goes and takes a shower.  Mike walks out to the kitchen to find Peter cooking away like every morning. "Good Morning Mike!"  Peter says a bit more cheerfully than needed. "Hey, Pete, where’s the girls?  They’re supposed to monitor your cooking." "Don’t know Mike, I thought I would let them sleep, but breakfast is almost ready, can you go get them?" "Alright, just be careful!" "I will Mike, I always am!" Mike walks into the bedroom of Peace, Spirit, Davy & Micky. Only to find a sleeping Micky "Hey Mick, Mick!  MICKY!!!!!!!" "Huh?!  Oh, it’s you." "I came to get the girls and YOU for breakfast." "Oh, I’m coming, just let me sleep for 5 more minutes...please"  "Oh, okay Mick! 5 minutes." Mike starts to walk away. "Hey, wait a minute!  Where’s Spirit & Peace?" Micky raises his head, "Has it been 5 minutes yet?" "No Micky, but..." "Oh good" Micky puts his head back down "Micky I asked you a question!" "Good grief what is it Mike?"  "WHERE IS PEACE & SPIRIT?" Micky turns his head to where Spirit was only the night before. "Hey, what’s this?"  Just as Mike was going to say something Micky got a disturbing look on his face. He then flew out of bed and started putting on any thing he could find to wear, Mike quickly grabbed the piece of paper and read it aloud. Dear Monkees, We have your 2 girls, if you want them you can have them for a pricey number! Mike was speechless; he finally got his composure, as Micky was about to walk out the door.  He grabbed Micky by the shoulder and pulled him back.  "Micky, what exactly are you going to do when you get there?" "I don’t know Mike, but I have to get them!" By now, Peter has came to see what the commotion is all about and Davy is walking out of the bathroom and follows Peter to the door where Micky & Mike stand talking. Mike still holds "THE LETTER". "‘Ey fellas, what’s going on? Micky where you going?" "I’m going to save the girls!" Micky tries to leave again but Mike is still holding him back. "Save the girls? What are you talking about?" Mike shows Davy "THE LETTER ".  Within moments Davy has dropped "THE LETTER" and has ran into the bedroom throwing on clothes.  "Hold on Mick, I’m coming!"  Davy yells from the bedroom Peter picks up "THE LETTER" and reads it, and then asks Mike. "Mike, what are we going to do?" "Well shotgun, we’re going to go save them!" Davy comes flying out of the room and follows the rest of the group to the Monkeemobile. On the way there, they all discuss their plan of actions. Mike explains his idea. "Okay, I think that you Micky and Davy should go through the back door, and me and big Pete over here will go through the roof." "Mike how do you know they even have a back door or a door on the roof?" Asks Davy. "You see my young friend. That building used to be an office building, and well, I was a janitor there. I know that building like the back of my hand!" They arrive at the building and everyone goes as Mike said.  Micky and Davy run around back and head through to luckily unlocked door. While Mike & Peter climb the fire escape stairs to the roof. Where they luckily find that the door is unlocked as well. They walk in to find a dimly lighted stairwell. They decide to look on every floor for the girls. They go to the next floor and open the door slowly, to find that the only light is the light from the stairwell. Mike steps out of the stairwell, and doesn’t see much. Just a big dark ro...BANG! "Mike, we have uhh, a uh problem." "Let me guess the door is locked." "Wow, Mike you’re a good guesser!" The two of them are searching around in darkness trying to find something, anything! While Micky & Davy are on the bottom floor of the building trying to get up! After Davy and Micky got into the dimly lit building, they were faced with a choice, left or right.  They looked at each other and Micky said, "This is one looks less traveled by." "Yeah, maybe it will make all the difference in the world!"  Davy concluded As they headed down the path towards the left, a door suddenly opened 2 scantily clad girls run out and grab Davy and Micky and pull them into this room that looked like a party was going on.  In the room, there was 4 other girls, all dressed with barely anything on. Trying to seduce, induce, persuade & tempt.  Micky and Davy.  While Davy was eating it up, Micky was looking for a way out.  He scanned the room franticly to find a door, or something!  At last he found a door; he grabbed Davy and ran to the door.  " ’Ey why did ya do that?  I was enjoying meself!"  Davy yelled as they ran out of the room and into another.  "David, did you forget why we’re here?" Davy thinks for only a second and realizes what he did. "Well, come on Mick, we have to go get our girls!" "That’s more li...." Micky says as he turns his head to see piles upon piles upon piles of money. Micky then turns runs and leaps into the cash. Then he starts singing, "...We’re in the money; we’re in the money...literally!"  While Micky is "in the money" Davy is looking for an out. Finally finds a door. Davy drags Micky out of the money and into the door. They both literally fall into this new, unexplored room. When familiar voices are heard they both jump to their feet. "DAVY!!!!" "MICKY!!!!" Peace & Spirit yell in unison Micky and Davy run over to the cage that holds them.  "SPIRIT!  Peter?" "PEACE!  Mike?" Micky & Davy yell in unison. "How did you 2 get in there?"  Davy asked "Well you see." Mike started "Peter found this trap door and we just climbed down it and then we landed here." "Oh." everyone said still a bit dumbfounded. They were suddenly knocked out of their state of mind. "Hey get us out of here!"  The girls demanded shaking the cage. "We could go under...." Micky thought aloud. "Or over..." Davy added. Micky’s face got bright and said, "THAT’S IT!" Micky whispered his idea to Davy.  "That is a good idea!" Micky ran over to the cage and put one foot on the keyhole box and then jumped down. "Yep, this just might work!" Micky said looking up at the ceiling where the cage connected to the ceiling. Then he went over to the cage. "Hey Mike, Peter come here!" The 2 came over there and Micky explained the plan.  They were all shaking their heads in agreement. Just then Peter jumped on Mike’s shoulders and Peter proceeded to take a block of the ceiling off and move it, so something as a person could get in there.  After Peter finished, Davy hopped upon Micky’s shoulders and did the same, so there is a nice little path OVER the cage and to the outside of it.  The girls we’re in the back talking while the guys did this. "Are we supposed to go through there?"  "I don’t know Spirit, but that’s pretty high up there!  Me and heights don’t get along!" Davy was on Micky’s shoulders and climbed up into the ceiling and disappeared, when Micky yelled out. "Ok, girls, I want you to put one foot on this key hole box, and the next foot on top of the door and then Davy is up there and he is going to help you up and Mike and Peter are going to be down here to help you. After you get up there, I will be on this side to help you down. "Easier said then done!" Thought the girls.  Everyone, was ready and in position, waiting on someone to start to climb to the top.  Peace & Spirit looked at each other then Peace gave a big push to Spirit and said, "Go ahead ‘O brave one, besides, I need to see how this is done!" Spirit went reluctantly. She went over to the box and put her foot on as Micky said to do, and then looked up to find Davy above her with arms out stretched, and then looked down to find Mike and Peter ready to help. She reached up and grabbed Davy’s hand, then placed her other foot on top of the door and started to pull herself up, and before she knew it she was in the ceiling with Davy. Then slowly went out backwards and put her foot on the top of the door and then onto the box on the OUTSIDE of the cage and Micky below her. She jumped down and almost jumped in Micky’s arms. There they hugged for a moment before they realized they had to get Peace and Mike and Peter out of the cage as well!  Next was Peace’s turn, she got up and over and down as easily as Spirit did, but Peace was a bit more uneasy about it all. Then came Peter and last but certainly not last Mike. Finally they were all on the outside of the cage! They all quickly went back the way Davy and Micky had came, but oddly enough all the money and girls they passed was gone.  But no one was worried about that now, the only thing that mattered were that they all get out of that building and into safeness! They all run out of the door and around to the front where the Monkeemobile was left only a few hours ago.  When all of a sudden. "APRIL FOOL'S!!!!!" Come yells from many people. Friends, neighbors and acquaintances.
