Mother,
I'm sitting here thinking back to
When I was just a little girl
Of all the special moments,
When your gentle hugs 'n kisses
Always brought a smile

My teenage years brought heartache
And a lot mistakes along the way
But your arms would open wide
And soothe away my tears
Never complaining, never scolding

As a grown woman you are still here for me
