"A SISTER'S LOVE"

You are always with me, wherever I may go
You're in my heart and thoughts and I want you to know
The years we spent together left so many memories
I think about the times we shared, just you and me.

Times we cried together or giggled in the night
Borrowing clothes from each other or having a fight
You never kept a secret that you didn't share with me
And always you were there, to hug me tenderly.

Those years are distant memories, faded with the time
Reflections that I think about when I see a child of mine
A bond was planted long ago and the love has lasted
through the years
We've passed it on now to the children we hold dear.

A sister's love is precious; it cannot be replaced
No matter the distance between us,
the miles are easily erased
Whenever you feel lonely or get to feeling blue
Remember the days of our childhood and remember,
I love you.

Poem above - chosen for my sister-Barbara

Because it says excatly what I think.

When we ws youger, she thought she adopted,
because my brother and I are both dark but she is light.

My mother asked her why she thought she would
adopt a baby when she already had one;
For we are only 17 months apart.

She takes after mother's side of the family,
while I take after the Native American
side of my dad's family.

She is a blonde, and I am a brunette.
We had different personalities, but shared
a bedroom and we would giggle in the night.

Now we live so far apart,
I love her and miss her every day.

I finally got to visit her:
Feb. '09
