A messy old woman is given a beautiful red rose. She puts the rose in a vase and stands back to admire it. The rose is lovely, but she realizes the vase is dusty and cloudy.

She takes the flower out and and scrubs the vase until it shines. She then puts the vase and flower back on the table. She sees that the beauty of the vase brought out the fact that the table is dusty and cluttered.

So she clears off all the papers and books and polishes the table till it glows. When she looks at her beautifully polished table, sparkling vase and fragrant red rose, she realizes the window behind it is dirty and the curtains look dusty and torn.

So she takes them down to wash and polishes the window. Before long she has cleaned the whole house. Inspired by the beauty of one flower.
