My Vivid Memories

My heart is heavy today. I want to let go of the unpleasant reflections. My mind tells me what I should do. I would love to walk back deep into the woods and let the mist from the waterfalls carry my soul to the bottom of the pool that forms from the water falling, for a good cleansing.

I sit pondering the thought and remember walking a slow path in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in what seemed to be a world of silence. Suddenly I heard the splashing sound of water, which delighted my inner being. I walk slowly toward the stream of water and looked up to a most breathtaking sight. The sky was a deep shade of slate blue---it looked like a velvet backdrop for the huge Granite Mountain.

The mountain whispered softly to me of its colors that blended so well---blues, grays, purple and greens that seems to call out to the world below of its majestic energy. Magnificent indeed!! Nestled in front of this mountain was another boulder that made me wonder from where it came. Close to the boulder stood three lodge pole pines.

Circles of water surrounds them and the colorful mountain flowers in abundance, surround the stream that flows swiftly down the mountain side and suddenly cascades over the pillars of granite. The mist from the waterfalls tickled all of my senses and danced with my spirit. It created a most exciting moment as it formed a deep pool and rushed on to the valley below. Today the mist from that waterfall has again walked softly in my memory. It cleansed my thoughts once again and created happiness and joy. I love the vivid memories of my mind.
