A lot of information has come out recently about this episode, but it's so much in one episode that I have doubts about some of it. So...here we go...

From The Haven on the title:
The line that is used in the Latin mass for the dead is "dona eis requiem" meaning "[God] give(grant) them peaceful rest" so the word requiem itself literally just means peaceful rest but "a requiem" has come to refer to a commemoration of something or someone who has died..."

The episode starts in Bellefleur, Oregon, (the same place as the Pilot) where some abductions have recently taken place. Also, Billy Miles and his father, Detective Miles play a part in the episode. Meanwhile, in Tunisia Maria is releasing Krycek from a prison cell. Then, back in DC Scully and Mulder are being drilled about their rather large expense account over the years. Scully also hints that she is not a "complete disbeliever".
