Spoiled Jonny

2001

In February of 2001, The Maxi Walker Band had decided to take some time off with no definite plans to regroup. Around the same time, John Durso's band "4 Jonny" was in the process of losing some band members. After talking to John, we decided to join forces, along with 4 Jonny drummer Gary Collins and Mike Menta on guitar (who I worked with in Ivanhoe.) We formed a new band, but played mostly the same tunes as 4 Jonny. We settled on the name "Spoiled Jonny" as a goof, as it represented the coming together of John & I from Spoiled Rotten and kept the "Jonny" in the name so that people from his current 4 Jonny following could recognize. This was a fun band to work with, but after 4 months of playing, was offered a chance to work with Believer, an Ozzy tribute. Having such strong metal roots, it was an opportunity I had to go with, even though it was a tough decision to leave the band.
