2000-2001
Following
the demise of Ivanhoe & Size 12 Boot, I decided to try a different
style of music, one that I hadn't really played before - MoTown!
Answering an ad in
the Hartford Advocate landed me a cool gig with "The Maxi
Walker Band!"
We covered
R&B, Motown, funk, blues and popular music from the sixties
to present day. Man, can Maxi sing! It was fun to play clubs,
private functions and outdoor events throughout Connecticut! This
band definitely kicked ass! I played with them from May of 2000
until February of 2001.
