~*~Chapter Three~*~

He woke up with a warm body pressed against his. He opened his eyes, almost fearful to see who was in the bed with him.

::please if there is a god it wont be Nakuru.::

when he saw black/purple hair he sighed. It wasn't the crazy Nakuru, it was.Tomoyo?

::what the hell?::

for the first time he noticed that Tomoyo was wearing only her underwear, and she was pressed back against his stomach, and.Erm.certain areas best left unmentioned. He blushed crimson and moved slightly. To his dismay she moved with him, seeming to draw off his warmth, not wanting him to leave.

::I bet if she knew who you were she'd be screaming for her bodyguards.or her mother.::

he shuddered at the thought of Sonomi Daidouji finding him in bed with her barely covered 'innocent' daughter. He pushed the nagging question of weather Tomoyo was quite as innocent as people thought out of his head. Quickly he moved, pulling himself up, and the jumping out of the bed. He sagged in relief, he was free. He made the mistake of looking back at Tomoyo before getting the hell out of there. She had stretched out and was sprawling across the bed. He gulped in some air as he all but ran to the door. If he didn't get out of here he would do something he would regret.

He ran through the house, glancing down at his watch, glad to see that it was just after one in the morning. If he was lucky, no one was home yet, and he could leave before someone noticed his car in the drive. He sighed as he got through the front door, and out to his car. He revved the engine and drove as fast as he could out of the Daidouji property. When he got to his apartment, about a 15 min drive away, he stopped so hard that his tires left skids on the pavement. He slammed his door and stalked to the elevator. Pressing the button for the 15th floor he leaned against the cool metal doors.

::stop thinking about her! Ok Touya lets make a list of why you should stop thinking about her. Hmm.lets see.well she's your younger sister's best friend. She loved your little sister. She's supposed to be like a little sister to you.::

he barely heard the ding of the doors open, and he almost fell flat on his face when they opened. He muttered under his breath as he reached for his jacket pocket for his keys. His hand met empty air.

"SHIT!"

his curse echoed in the empty hallway. He grabbed his keys out of his jeans pocket and slammed open his door. It was too late to go back and get it. He groaned and sank into his couch. He laid his head back and groaned again. Standing up he stormed into his bedroom and threw himself on his bed. He pushed his shoes off with one foot and tore off his jeans and shirt. he lay there in his boxers, trying hard to ignore the delicious thoughts of Tomoyo stretched out in her purple lace underwear. He swore again and curled up into a ball, pulling the blankets over himself.

He woke up at eight the next morning, with someone banging on his door. He stumbled blindly to it and yanked it open. Needless to say he was not in a good mood, his dreams had been plagued with thoughts of Tomoyo. He growled and looked own at the person standing at the door. The first thing he saw was his jacket, and after that a pair of violet eyes, staring straight back at him. He fought the urge to blush. That was when he noticed that he was standing in his boxers, with a rather noticeable problem. He swore and yanked the embarrassed girl inside, leaving her at the door he made a beeline to his room, to throw in some clothes. All he could find was his jeans.

::its not like she's seen you in your boxers, with a large reaction to dreams that you've been having about her.OH WAIT! YES SHE HAS!!::

he flinched at the voice in his mind. At least she didn't know the reason for the problem. He thanked god that she didn't. he searched around for a shirt and he finally found the one he had worn yesterday. He left it unbuttoned as he walked out of his room. He saw her sitting on the couch he had occupied last night. She sat in the chair opposite of her.

"how long were you at my house last night?"

she was staring at him, and he blushed. He couldn't help it.

"I put you into your bed, and then I left. Thanks for returning my jacket by the way, it was warm last night, and I had taken it off on the way up to your room."

He prayed that she believed him. He tilted his head to the side when she didn't say anything. He noticed that she was blushing.

"so, you didn't stay later?"

the way she said it made him choke on his own saliva. It was almost like she was inviting him to say that he had. He swallowed, hard, and once again answered that he hadn't stayed longer. She nodded and smiled. She rose to go, but he grabbed her hand.

"would you like to stay for breakfast? You don't look like you've had a good night........."

he trailed off realizing that he probably didn't look much better. He was stunned when she actually said yes. He smiled and told her to sit, while he went to go make something. Tomoyo sat, thinking on last night.

::I could have sworn that someone else was in my bed.........I must be going crazy::

she looked at the kitchen thoughtfully. She blushed when she realized that she had been staring earlier. Her shock at seeing him open the door in his black boxers had faded. She realized also that she had been staring at his muscular abs while he had been answering her questions. She went crimson. What if he had noticed? She would be mortified. She moved her thoughts back to the party. She felt tears well up in her eyes when she thought of Sakura and Syaoran.

::you knew it was going to happen, they're probably on the plane to Hong Kong already. Besides they were destined to be together.::

she buried her head in her hands and sobbed. Touya heard it from the kitchen and he ran out to see what was wrong. He saw her with her head on her hands. He knelt before her, reminded of last night. She glanced up, and he felt his heart break in two at the pain in her eyes. He took her up in his arms and rocked her once again. He heard mumbled phrases like 'she would never love me' and 'I'm always alone'. He felt like crying himself, it wasn't fair that Tomoyo should have to go through this pain. He took her in his arms and then sat back down on the couch, with her in his lap. He rocked her, and stroked her hair. When her sobs receded into sniffles he stopped rocking, but still held her in his lap.

"I really don't know why I'm so weepy all of a sudden."

he smiled, leave it to Tomoyo to try and explain a moment of weakness.

"it's alright, everyone's entitled to a few tears once and a while. If the person I loved left me for someone else, I would probably be in tears too."

He felt her smile against his shirt.

"yes, well, this is the second shirt of yours that I've soaked."

He laughed.

"well, the second time actually, this is the same shirt from yesterday. It seems that I need to do some laundry."

He heard her muffled giggle. He laid his head on the back of the couch and took in a deep breath. Suddenly he swore, breakfast! He lunged up, and placing the confused Tomoyo on her feet, he ran into the kitchen and grabbed the pan off the stove. He sighed as he emptied the burnt eggs into the garbage. He looked up when he heard her laughing. She was sagging against the door frame, the tears of pain being replaced by tears of laughter. He looked at himself, bare feet, open shirt, wrinkled jeans, holding a pan of burnt eggs, and he started to laugh too.

"it looks like we're going to be eating cereal this morning"

she giggled and shook her head.

"you go get dressed, I can make breakfast, I'm a good cook, and it can make up for all the times I've cried on your shirt."

he looked like he was going to say no, so she pushed him a little towards the door.

"go! Put on some clean clothes"

he sighed and turned. She smiled and started to make some pancakes. She could vaguely hear the shower running. After a while she hummed a song, then started to sing softly, oblivious to Touya's awed stare.

She flipped a pancake, and gasped softly as Touya came up behind her.

"that was beautiful"

she blushed and flipped another pancake. He smiled at her embarrassment. He reached up and grabbed two plates. She got a whiff of his cologne and she smiled. He smelt so good. She blushed again, why were these thoughts running through her head? He grabbed two glasses and the orange juice and placed them on the table. She scooped the pancakes onto the plates and grabbed the syrup. They sat, talking about things like the weather, avoiding topics that might embarrass them both, like last night, or this morning at the door. When they finished, she stood up to go.

"I should probably leave, I need to get ready for this thing my mother is having tonight.and I need to pick up a few things."

He nodded and walked her to his door. They stood staring at each other for a few minutes, violet eyes meeting brown. There was a loud bang from across the hall that got both of their attentions. The door opened and slight blonde woman came out. Touya groaned, his neighbour from across the hall had been trying to get him to go out with her for a long time now, each time he had refused. She was a bit of a slut, sleeping around a lot, and he didn't go for women who cheated on their previous guys, knowing that it was likely that she would cheat on him too. She smiled at him, and then took notice of Tomoyo, who blushed. The woman's smile turned into a frown, and she sneered at the girl.

"Touya! You never told me that you were having company over.and so early in the morning, perhaps she stayed over last night?"

He groaned again as he saw Tomoyo's face go crimson. The woman was vicious. He ignored her and bent down so he could look Tomoyo in the eyes.

"I'll see you later ok? If you ever need a shirt to cry on again, just come back to me alright?"

he watched her nod, her face still bright red. She turned and almost fled down the hall. She stopped at the elevator, and rushed inside when the doors opened. Touya turned his frown on the petite blonde in front of him. She was smirking at him.

"well now Touya, now that your little girl is gone, perhaps you'd like to come over for some more adult, hmm.activities?"

her voice was like silk, soft and seductive. He fought against showing his revulsion in his eyes and lost. She gasped and stepped back as he turned around and slammed his door in her face. He sighed as he walked around his apartment, picking up the dishes on the way into the kitchen. He was glad that it was a Saturday and he didn't have to work.
