Another short chapter! Chapter Five will come out soon, probably this weekend. That will complete it! W00t! Disclaimer: I don't own Sailor Moon, unfortunately. ~Chapter Four~ Nine months later, graceful Neo-Queen Serenity was this big beach-ball type person. She spent most of her time in bed, and did any work at all that needed to be done with the earth on the comfort of her pillows. King Endymion went to conferences and things in her place. And, of course, paparazzi tried to sneak into the Crystal Palace and get news on Serenity and her yet-to-be-born child, but the Sailor Scouts always chased them away. No one except the ones that had been there the night it happened knew about Serenity's rape, and they wanted to keep it that way. One news channel kept trying to sneak it. Serenity giggled to herself as she heard, "Mars Fire, Ignite!" and screaming. "Get the hell out of here!" she heard Mars yell. Serenity rubbed her stomach and leaned her head on the mountains of pillows. Endymion was about fifty miles away at a meeting, and the Scouts were guarding the palace, so she was all alone in the huge room. Serenity sighed. "I'll take a nap," she murmured to herself, and drifted to sleep. ~*~*~ The queen blinked open her eyes and saw Endymion looking at her fondly. "Hello my sweet," he said. "Hello," Serenity said slowly, and then smiled. "When did you get back?" "About an hour ago." "How long have you been up here?" she asked. "An hour," Endymion smiled. "I couldn't bare another second not being with you." "Oh Endymion," Serenity sighed. She tried to sit up to kiss him, but stopped suddenly. Her eyes got very big. "What?! What is it?!" Endymion cried, jumping up. "The. . .baby. . ." Serenity said through gritted teeth. "Oh my god!" he cried, and ran to a phone on a table in the room. He dialed for an ambulance. "Yes. . ." he said. "Yes, she's going to have the baby. . .the Crystal Palace you idiot!" he yelled before slamming down the phone. He ran back to his wife. "Okay honey. . .the ambulance said they would come up here, but I think it would be easier for them to meet us downstairs. . .do you think you can walk?" "I. . .I think so," Serenity said. She took a deep breath and clutched her stomach. "I'll call the Scouts up here to help me," Endymion said, and pushed a button on the wall. "Yes, your highness?" Sailor Mercury's voice came through. "Serenity's going to have the baby! We need your help getting her downstairs!" "Oh my god! We'll be right up!" Mercury cried, and seconds later, footsteps could be hear stomping up to the room. "AHHHHHHHH!" Serenity screamed, and fell down on the bed, clutching her stomach. "No. . .time. . ." "YOU MEAN IT'S GOING TO BE BORN NOW?!" Endymion yelled at the top of his lungs. "AHHHHHHHHHHH!" was Serenity's reply. "Oh god, oh god. . ." "Serenity!" the Scout's voices cried in unison. They ran to her. "She says there's no time for her to get to a hospital!" Endymon explained. "Well, we'll just have to deliver the child right here," Mercury said. Everyone but Serenity turned to stare at her. "You KNOW how to deliver a baby?" Sailor Jupiter cried in shock. "I've read about it," Mercury said. "Now, let's see. . ." It suddenly registered in Endymion's brain this was really going to happen, so her ran to Serenity's side and grabbed her hand. She clutched it so hard it felt like his hand broke, but he didn't care. "Okay Serena. . .you have to push," Mercury said. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Serenity screamed again. "STUPID KID!" "Just push," Mars said. "You're so MEAN Mars!" Serenity cried. "Just freaking PUSH!" All four Sailor Scouts ordered. "Fine!" Serenity pouted, squinched her eyes shut, and pushed. "C'mon Serenity, you can do better," Mercury said. Venus looked behind Mercury's shoulder and gaped. "Uh, Venus?" Jupiter asked. Sailor Venus didn't reply. She just rolled her eyes back and fainted. "I guess this means something going on down there!" Serenity gasped. "What's up with the freaking kid???" "JUST PUSH!" the three conscious Scouts and Endymion cried. Serenity closed her eyes and pushed again. Her head fell back on the pillows. "Oh god! I can't do this anymore!" she said. "Just one more push," Mercury prompted. "You can do it." "Just one more? You promise?" Serenity asked. "Yes. Now. . ." "PUSH!" Serenity pushed some more, and squeezed Endymion's hand even harder, it turned red. But once again, he didn't really care. "It's out! It's out!" Mercury cried. There was silence of relief, then some high-pitched screaming. Serenity flopped her knees down and took some deep breaths. She loosened the grip on her husband's hand and looked at the ceiling. "Hey, that cry sounds a little familiar," she muttered to herself. Her head jerked up when she heard Mercury gasp, a now-conscious Sailor Venus gasp, and Sailor Mars and Jupiter gasp. "What?" Serenity asked urgently. Mercury didn't answer, but handed the bundled up newborn to the new mother. "A girl!" Serenity squeaked happily. She touched the baby's nose and her eyes opened. Serenity gasped. She recognized those eyes. Those red eyes. The baby was Rini. |
