| This group was started with the goals of providing both children and parents with social contact, educational fun, spiritual growth, and support. Our on-going activities include: 1. Monthly Mass attendance as a group; the children serve as lectors and altar servers and share something about some saints; usually the 2nd Friday of the month at St. Catherine of Siena in Farmingdale, NJ 2. Monthly educational workshops; usually on the 4th Friday of the month from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm; topics change each month; activities are planned for the full age-range of children; currently held at the Howell Branch of the Monmouth County Library, on Old Tavern Rd, Howell, NJ 3. Seasonal/occasional activities: Monthly bowling at Howell Lanes, ice skating in the winter at Mercer County Rink, plays throughout the year at Algonquin Arts Theater in Manasquan, field trips to the aquarium, zoo, and museum. Other opportunities as they arise. Communication with members occurs primarily through email updates, and this web page. Monthly dues of $2.50 per family per month are requested to help offset materials costs. Families may be asked to bring supplies as well. This group is geared primarily toward PreK-8th Grade. Older children are welcome to come and join in the fun. As the membership of the group changes, our focus can also be adjusted. |
