| Charles Casha is an author of books for children. He writes in his native language, Maltese. He has been writing for the past 40 years and his first book was published in 1971. His
35 publications consist of short stories, novels, and plays as well as text-books on the teaching of the Maltese language. He has also published four novels and three books of short stories for adults. His book "Il-Klabb - L-Ghaxar Anniversarju", a novel for teens won the Literary Award for Children's Literature in 1998 by the Ministry of Education. In 2003 his book Gummienu was awarded the National Literary Award for children's literature published in 2000. |
