| Pushed to the edge of madness, he spent 100 years roaming aimlessly, avoiding humanity. Until, finally, he was given the chance to make amends for his past crimes by fighting the evil he once personified. Angel now lives in Los Angeles…the City of Angels. And he’s as obsessed with protecting the helpless as he once was with slaughtering them. |
| Angel was known as Liam in his human life. Soon after he rose from the grave as a vampire, he returned to his family home. His younger sister, who had just attended his funeral, called him an angel. That night, Liam murdered his entire family. And, in a twisted display of humor, he took a new name, the Latin form of angel. Angelus. |
| Angelus spent the next 150 torturing and terrorizing countless innocents. Taking pleasure in the pain of his many victims. Late in the 19th century, Angelus fed on a beautiful Gypsy girl, torturing her for hours before draining her dry. When the Gypsy clan learned what he’d done, they cursed him…with a soul. Suddenly, Angelus had a conscience. And remembered the faces of every person he’d killed in the preceding 150 years. |
| But the evil is still part of him. The curse has been broken twice, turning him back into the soulless, murderous creature he once was. It’s a danger he must always guard against. |
