Several veterans spoke about their memories of World War II and lessons learned which are applicable to the world today. Also,
several persons spoke in gratitude for the service of these men and all men serving in American Armed Forces around the world
today.On Friday evening, as part of the F-Company Memorial Ceremony, the veterans and their
families went outside for a flag disposal ceremony. At the beginning of the ceremony, the Pleage of Alligeance to the Flag
was recited by the group. The meaning of each step in the ceremony was read. The flag was torn
stripe by stripe with each one being placed on the fire by a veteran or a family member. The blue field was placed on the
fire last by the company historian and driving force behind the reunions, Leonard Hall. Taps were sounded at the conclusion
of the flag disposal ceremony. The remainder of the Memorial Ceremony was concluded back indoors.
