Historic Homes of Atlanta
Herndon Home is the homeplace of Alonzo F. Herndon, founder of
Atlanta Life Insurance. The Swan House is a grand Italianate villa
designed for the Inman family in 1928. The Wren's Nest was the home
of Joel Chandler Harris author of the Uncle Remus, Br'er
Rabbit and Tar Baby stories. The Tullie
Smith House is an authentic example of an 1840's plantation farm
house. The Georgia Govenor's Mansion is patterned after stately manors
