Return of the Legend
By: Celestial Tiger
Chapter 1: The Legend
One hundred years ago in the year nineteen hundred and ninty
one an evil lord desnded upon the city once known as Tokyo. Some
thought it was the Emperor of the Yojakai known as Arago, but five men
know it wasn't for they had defeated him a few years prior. These
saviors that saved the world were mrtals who were given special armor that
was forged from Arago's own dark armor. This time however it was
not the return of Arago, but the apperaince of Arago's master! he
was an evil not even these saviors in their magical armor could defete.
Knocked uncountious the keys to their armors broken they were left to die.
They say that the one that created these armors, a warrior monk named Kaosu
cast a spell on the saviors for he knew they could not die yet. They
were then sealed in crystal coffins in eternal sleep waiting for the one
to come and rescue them. It is beleived that when all the coffins
are broken a light as bright and as hot as the sun will purify the world
and save it once again.
"Has anyone ever seen them?" A boy asked.
"Remeber this is only a legend." She reminded the
kids that sat around her.
"But what about the name on these boxes?" One of
the older kids asked gestering to the said items scattered around the room.
"Yes, Nasuti Yagyu. Well, supposidly she knew
them. After they 'disapeared' she tried to get help in finding them.
No one beleived her and she was announced mentally unstable. She
also had a small boy she had adopted trying to convince people also."
"What happened to them?" One of the girls asked.
"Well, they were both sent to institutions.
She died mysteriously while there. not much is known, but those that
beleive in the legend think she was murdered, while everyone else thought
it was suiside. I heard that when the boy grew up he was releaced
and eventually married." The group of seven sat around the large rectangular
table that sat in the middle of the ancient house. At the head of
the table sat a girl of Seventeen, her brown eyes dull from the life she
has lived, her brown hair hanging about her face. The otheres, children,
that all share a certain thing in comming with herself. Sarah used
to be the doaughter of a rich family. She had a good life, till her
parents were killed in the city when she was fifteen. Without the
funds or the support she was taken from her live of private schools and
put into an orphanage where her skills were no good and all she had were
worries.
When she arrived at the orphanage she befriended
a small boy who had also just lost his parents. Jun, with his short
brown hair and big brown eyes immedently attatched himself to the girl.
In the few years that past several children looked to Kaite as an older
sister.
"Well, at least we know she was real." Erika pointed
out. Erika, now eleven, with her red hair and blue eyes lost her
parents while she was still a baby. She lived her intire life in
the orphanage. She did the cooking for the group and since being
the oldest was second in command.
"Yea, and insane. Let's see what she left
behind." Seth stated standing up to reach one of the many boxes tehy had
brought down from the attic. Seth was only a few months younger then
Erika and wanted to be able to boss everyone around. When given the
responcibility he tended to tak on more then he could handle. With
his blue hair and blue eyes, he tended to stick out in a crowd. he
was at the orphanage just a year beofre Sarah and Jun.
"I'll go get something to clean them off with.
I'm sure they've got to be dirty." Makoto stated leaving the table tof
her self apponted task. Makoto was eight when her parents died in
the city and was sent to the orphange. She helps out around the house
and loves to cook. Erika always has help when Makoto is around.
"Ah, who cares. I wanna see if there's anything
valuable in here." Mike stated as he opened a box, dust and dirt flying
everywhere. The trouble maker of the group, his blond hair and blue
eyes make others thinkg he's not Japanese. this gets him into a lot
of fights and he takes everyone of them as a challenge. He is very
athletic and loves the outdoors. he was only five when his parents
died and tends to tell people they are only away on buisness.
"Are you okay?" Sarah asked looking down at the
black haired brown eyed little girl. She coughed a couple of times
and nodded in responce to Sarah's question. Ami, her parents died
when she was three and her grandparents took her in. Just a few months
later some guys broke into their house and killed her grandparents right
in front of her. Though they spared her, they told her not to say
a thing and she's kept quiet ever since. The lot of them have travelled
around from one home to the next, each time for lack of rent. Sarah
could not earn enough in any job to pay the outragious prices. They
finally found this old house. It was large enough for all of them,
yet it was closeenough to the city that no one wanted it. They had
just moved in and were exploring when they found the Yagyu name on some
boxes.
"This is full of pictures." Mike sighed as he pushed
the box away.
"Let me see it then." Erika said grabbing the box.
She pulled out a small stack of picture frams and looked through them.
"Boy, she was sure popular with the guys."
"What do you mean Erika?" Sarah asked leaning over
the table. Erika showed her a few of the pictures with contained
the Yagyu woman and five young men. "Good looking guys at that!" Sarah
agreed making the girls laugh and the guys roll their eyes.
"Do you think they could be the savious?" Jun asked
looking over Sarah's shoulder.
"Jun, She said it was a legend. That meansit's
not true." Makoto pointed out as she dusted off some of the pictures.
"I know what it means!" Jun pouted, "But if she
was put into an institution, what happened to them?"
"Even if the ledgend was true, Jun, this couldn't
be them." Sarah stated taking the picture.
"What do you mean?" Jun asked
"Well, the ledgen also says that because of the
power contained in the armor was so much that is caused them to become
forrificly disfigured. To the point they were no longer human."
Sarah explained.
"Do you know how? I mean, what did it do to them?"
Erika asked looking at a different picture of the guys.
"Well, the warrior of fire was burt everytime he
wore the armor. Scares cover his body and he as patches of white
hair. They say the pain was bad enough a normal person would of died
from it alone. The warrior of water, so connected was he to the element
that he grew gills and scales to protect him in the oceans. It was
also rumored his legs when not in his armor formed a tail like a mermaid's.
The warrior of the sky so intent on being part of it became one beyond
the dead. Scares of this attempts of suiside by falling off the cliffs
in attepts to fly clear. The warrior of the earth is said to have
arms of pure stone, capable of knocking a building over with one punch.
And finally the warrior of light is said to have hair made of pure light,
but his eyes are cold and empty. When one looks into them they see
the horror of what happens to nature because of humans. And are so
ashamed by this they kill themselves." Sarah recited.
"Woah, I guess these aren't them then, unless
this was taken before they wore the armors." Mike stated.
"Jun, do you know anyting about your grandparents?" Makoto
interupted looking at a picture.
"Only that nobody knows about my Grandfather's past
before he was married, why?" Just asked looking over at Makoto and then
back at Sarah. Makoto flipped the picture around so everyone could
see. On it was a boy around the same age and looked exactly like
Jun.
"That must be the boy she adoped." Seth pointed
out.
"Do you think it could be Jun's Grandad?" Mike asked
taking the picture.
"It is. I saw a picture of him once with his
parents, but he would never say how they died." Jun explined taking the
picture. Jun sat there and looked at the picture as silence drifted
over the room. Ami pulled on Sarah's arm and pointed to the white
tiger Jun's grandfather was sitting on.
"I don't know where they got a white tiger from,
but ti's also said that the savious had an animal compainion and that it
guards this house from a far." Sarah explained.
"Do you think he's still out there?" Erika asked
looking out the window.
"It's been a hundred years. No cat can live
that long. Tiger or otherwise." Sarah said sadly.
"Hey, Sarah, what's this?" Seth asked pulling something
out of a box. The object was square, white and the outside was plastic.
"Let me see that." Sarah said taking the object
from Seth. She fumbled around with it trying to see if it opened.
First she tried to get her fingernails into the crease she had found.
When that failed she tried to just pull it apart. Frustraited she
dropped it on the table and the top plipped up to reveile what looked like
a computer.
"This thing is huge! I bet it can do anything!"
Mike exclaimed.
"But it's also old. Probbably over a hundred
years old." Makoto pointed out.
"I wonder if it still works." Sarah wondererd flipping
a few switches, but nothing happened.
"If I remeber my history it may run on a battery."
Erika pointed out.
"Maybe, this will help." Mike tated pulling a black
cord from the box. Sarah took the cord and plugged one end into the
computer and the other into the wall. Sarah flipped the switche again,
the computer jumping to life.
