Department Head - Biomedical Photography Technician School, 1991 - 1995. Naval School of Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD. Head of the only Department of Defense (DoD) Biophotography School, graduating over 50% of active field technicians as of 1995. Budget - $170,000.
Senior Instructor - Biomedical Photography Technician School, 1989 - 1995. Taught photography subjects such as view camera techniques, copy techniques (including copyright law), infrared & ultraviolet photography, optics, photomacrography, and photomicroscopy. Received Registered Biological Photographer Certification - 1991. (Only RBP in DoD - since 1992). Received Navy Master Training Specialist Certification - 1992.
Independent Duty Biomedical Photographer, 1983 - 1989. Responsible for one and two person departments in Bremerton, Washington and Long Beach, California. Performed forensic, biological and base support photographic functions. Produced two multi-media presentations for commanding officers.
