One of Jesus' parables is of unforgiving servant, in which a king pardons a servant who owed him a great deal of money. Shortly after receiving mercy, the pardoned servant has a peer thrown in jail because he cannot repay him. After witnessing this, the other servants report him and the once pardoned servant isd tortured. This parable shows that God will forgive you, if you forgive one another.

The Gospel of Matthew is thought to have been written by one of the followers of Matthew the apostle. The Gospel of Matthew was originally thought to have been written first, yet recent evidence shows that the Gospel of Mark may have preceeded it. This Gospel is the longest of the four and begins with the geaneology of Jesus and ends with his resurrection.The Gospel of Matthew is one of the three synoptic gospels along with the Gospels of Mark and Luke. The Gospel of Matthew was written for a primarily Jewish Christian audience and conveys Jesus as a teacher.
