Netherlands Cycle Stuff - 2007
On the eve of my departure for Sweden, UK and the Netherlands, here I am posting a few of last year's shots.

The cycling culture here is incredible. A demostration of great vision, and genuinely integrated into the culture.
Vandalism and bikes make art to me!
Decorated bikes abound
More circumstantial art.
Trike! Much older folk and the disabled still ride.
Cafe de Fiets
Near Cafe de Fiets.
In Belgium
Belgian folk.
Unroadworthy (and/or dumped bomb).
Bike parking station near Central Station, Amsterdam. Hangin', Amsterdam.
Section of massive Central Station bike parking lot. Imagine this multiplied by about 50... and then double it... for some idea of the magnitute of this parking station and surronds. Any wonder folk decorate, paint and personalise their bikes!
Dog 'n' bone
No bike in sight, but I quite like the dog going for the bone.
Passenger does it easily, hands in pockets.
Typical scene.
Hitching lifts. So common, Couples and friends in a wide range of age groups travel this way.

See more on my
BIKE PEOPLE page.
Light not great in this shot, but did my best.
The wheel thing (oo-mau-m-mau-mau!)
I've got more of these sort of bike art ones, but where are they? I WILL find the relevant disk...
Check out some more Dutch cycling photographs I had published on a friend's
CYCLE ACTIVISM AND CULTURE BLOG.
