The New Moon
by Thomas Tanella
Five months a go NASA had discovered a new moon orbiting the Earth closer than the moon was it would take four days to reach. They named it Omega one, it was a little smaller than the earth. The US and England were getting a ship ready for a trip there it would be a joint mission. In command of the mission was Col Stephanie Dova. And second in command was Dianna singer she was from London and the Col was from Brooklyn, New York. Dianna was a Captain and the third was LT john Yorkmen, he was from LA. The ship would leave in two days and stay for two weeks. It was now time for the ship to lift off. The ship was now in space and orbiting the Earth. In two days she would leave Earth orbit they could see the new moon from here. Ok where on our way to the new moon Stephanie told her crew. They were fast approaching the new moon, it was only two days since they left Earth orbit and they had the moon in site. They were now orbiting it, call earth and tell them that we have arrived, ok Col said captain Dover. This is Omega one we have arrived at omega one do we land or just orbit it she asked them. They told her that they were to land and explore. So the omega one was now ready to land on the moon. The ship was now on Omega one it was dark and full of ice. There was ice all around them and it was very dark. They would explore in the morning. When morning arrived Col Stephanie Dover and LT john Yorkmen left the ship to explore. They spent two hours out side the ship two weeks had gone by they were now leaving the moon and heading back to earth. It was another dead moon no signs of life any where. But they would go back again and explore. After all it had ice and ice meant water and possible life. What kind they did not no? The ship was now heading back towards Earth. In two days she would be landing on mother Earth. The ship was now landing on earth and that was the end of the first mission.
