NURSES BALL 2000 A BIG FLOP!

The dresses were a disaster and the acts weren't much better as this years Nurses Ball.

THE ACTS:Several were obviously taped to add special effects to them which made the acts come off phony on-screen. The first act featured the PC's characters of Eve, Kevin, Mary and Victor doing an on-location shoot as they peformed an act entitled Chick Magnet . But to this viewer's mind a better name might have been Gag Magnet. Next up was Footloose which featured bad dancing and not much better singing. Followed by Simply Irresistable which featured endless butt and crotch close-ups. The last act of the night was Hey Good Lookin featuring Tony, Lucy and Alan. I'll refrain from commenting on it.

The Speech:Robin Scorpio, the voice of living with HIV, gave another of her speeches. Prior to that she showed her compassion is limited to people with HIV, when she showed no compassion to Sonny Cortinthos and Carly Benson for the recent loss of their child. She added insult to injury by declaring she lost all respect for Mr. Corinthos because he was now involved with her former rival, Carly Benson.

STEFAN CASSADINE LIVING IT UP IN THE CITY OF LIGHTS

While Stefan Cassadine's loved-ones continued to sort-of mourn, Mr. C was in Paris boffing some french pastry he picked up somewhere. Mr. C also sent Laura Spencer a letter declaring her husband Luke had killed him. This caused Ms. Spencer to stop obsessing over Luke Spencer, and she started getting weepy over Stefan Cassadine. In her grief she went over to Spoon Island where she was confronted by Helena Cassadine who informed her Stefan never really loved her. He only used her as a substitute to give into his unseemly passion for his own mother. Needless to say, Mrs. Spencer was not pleased about this.

The Fashion:In a couple of cases, some of the women seemed to think it was Halloween, as they dressed in some very bizarre get-ups. Chloe Morgan was dressed up like some Celine Dion wannabe. Bobbie Spencer was dressed in some bizarre Elvira, Mistress of the Dark outfit that featured a split in her skirt that seemed to reach her hip. And Lucy Coe's multi-outfit changes were remeniscent of some of Cher's more outrageous get-ups in the past. Best-dressed male and female of the night were Sonny Corinthos in some old west style tux that he made work, and Helena Cassadine reeking of movie star sophestication in a gray gown.

The evening ended with a group sing of Lean On Me. Thankfully, this year, Lucy managed not to appear in her underwear at the end.

BLONDE'S GET IN CATFIGHT OVER DEPARTED DISCO KING

Roy stops Mama Cat Laura from scratching Feline Flea's eyes out.

When Laura Spencer arrived at the safehouse and found her husband gone, but his mistress, Felicia Jones there instead she saw red. The Flea started acting superior and self-righteous and began pointing fingers. In response, Laura called her a bitch. In the end it turned out the Flea was a scaredy-cat as she ran for the nearest exit as Roy DeLucca stopped an enraged Laura from snatching her bald.

COMMISH TELLS FASHION DESIGNER TO BUTT OUT!

Returning home from the Nurses Ball, Mac Scorpio was not in the mood to get a lecture on the importance of family from Chloe Morgan. Especially since she only knew the Flea's side of things and the Flea has a bad habit of leaving certainly damaging facts when telling her side of the story. So he told her to mind her own business.

BOOZE BAG NOW THINKS HE'S INVINCIBLE

After surviving Carly Benson trying to kill him at the Nurses Ball, AJ Quartermained declared no one could touch him. He's untouchable. He neglected to take in account the only reason he survived was because Sonny Corinthos jumped in front of him and to kill AJ Q, Ms. Benson would have also had to kill her lover.
