CHAPTER SIXTY-TWO

EXAMINING ROOM, GENERAL HOSPITAL:

Sonny: Speaking of AJ, I’ve got to do something about him. I can’t keep him on ice forever.

Carly; Your men nabbed him.

Sonny; Yeah, he’s waiting in the warehouse as we speak for me to deal with him.

Carly: (coldly)Then kill him. He killed something inside you by what he did, so return the favor. Kill him.

Sonny: I can’t do that. I can’t even do what I planned to do to him because of the baby.

Carly: It’s because of him you won’t let yourself be happy about this baby. So he should pay for that. Kill him.

Sonny: Carly, when things go wrong again, you’re going to need me to be there for you to help you pick up the pieces of your life. I can’t risk acting against AJ and not being there when you need me. As soon as Dr. Meadows tells us the results to the tests she took I’m going to take you home then go to the warehouse and let AJ go.

Carly: You don’t have to take me home. You can send me home in the car then do what you have to do. You don’t even have to stay around for the test results if you don’t want to. In fact, maybe it would be better if you left altogether.

Sonny; Is that what you really want?

Carly: Yes, it is.

Sonny: Fine, then I’ll leave. I’ll see you at home. (with that he stormed out of the room).

EMERGENCY ROOM, GENERAL HOSPITAL:

Taggart(rushed in)Is it true Bobbie Spencer was attacking by the Sex Toy Stalker and she survived.

Alexis: Yes, Detective Taggart. Stefan is in with her now.

Taggart: Then maybe we’ll finally get a lead on who this psycho. I wonder when I’ll be able to question her.

Alexis: That won’t be necessary, Detective. I can tell you what you want to know. I saw how the Sex Toy Stalker is. Stefan and I walked in just as she was attacking Bobbie.

Taggart: She? The Stalker is a woman?

Alexis; Yes, it’s Chloe Morgan.

Taggart: Are you sure?

Alexis: Yes, I’m sure. I saw her with my own eyes.

WAREHOUSE ON THE DOCKS:

AJ(snarled at Johnny and Francis from behind the cage they put him in) I want to know how long I’m going to be kept here.(Johnny and Francis continued to ignore him as they continued to plays cards.)

Johnny: I’ll see you and raise you two, Francis.

AJ: Hell-looo, I’m talking to you two trained gorillas.

Francis: I think you’re bluffing, Johnny.

AJ: Who do you two goons think you are. I’m AJ Quartermaine. You can’t treat me like this.

Johnny; Read them and weep, Francis.

AJ: At the very least you could provide me with something to drink.

Sonny(enters)So, boys, how’s it going.

Johnny: What are you doing back so soon from your honeymoon, boss.

Sonny; Things happened. How have things been here.

Francis: We’ve been ignoring the little pest as best as possible.

Sonny: Why don’t you two take a break. You’ve earned it.

Johnny: Thanks, boss. If you need us we’ll just be a holler away.(they exited)

AJ(sneered)You! I should have known you were behind this. This time you’ve gone too far, Corinthos. You’re going to go down for this.

Sonny; You’re completely unbelievable. You come to my wedding, you try to shoot me and I’m the one whose going to go down.

AJ: People must have noticed I’m missing by now. You can’t prove I tried to kill you, but I’ll be able to prove you kidnapped me and held me against my will.

Sonny: I hate to break it to you, AJ, but no one even notices you’re missing. That’s how important you are. And even if they did notice they’d just think you were off on another binder.

AJ: Just what are you going to do to me?

Sonny: Not what I intended to do that’s for sure. You know, AJ, God really does protect drunks. It’s just too bad he doesn’t also protect unborn children from them, as well. You just got cut another break. I’m letting you go without even laying a finger on you.

AJ: You’re letting me go? (he laughed) You’re as crazy as Carly is. Do you honestly think I’m going to forget what you’ve done to me. The instant I’m free I’m going to go down the police headquarters and pressing kidnapping charges against you. Then once you’re locked up behind bars where you belong, Carly will come back to me. And once I have Carly back Grandfather would put me back in charge of ELQ and I’ll have back everything you took away from me.

Sonny: You still want to be CEO of ELQ, don’t you? In fact, you’ve got it all planned out. That’s why you’re so determined to get Carly back. Because you think she’s the key to you getting back everything you lost. Thank you, AJ, you’ve just shown me that there’s still something I can do to you without even laying a finger on you.

AJ: What are you talking about?
Sonny:(leaned in close to AJ’s face)I guess Granddaddy didn’t tell you, did he? You see, the Quartermaines don’t own ELQ anymore. I do. I hadn’t really planned on doing anything with the company. It’s sort of a big white elephant to me. But now that I know just how important it is to you, I think I’ll just appoint myself as the new CEO of the company. What do you think of that?

AJ(lunged at Sonny through his cage)You’re lying! If you try to take over my job as CEO of ELQ I’ll kill you. That’s my birthright and I won’t allow you to take it from me.

Sonny: Ooh, I’m shaking. You’re a coward, AJ. The only way you’d have the guts to try and kill me is by crawling on your belly in the grass like a snake and sneaking up behind me and shooting me in the back. But before you ever get within ten feet of me, my bodyguards will smash you into the ground. (he heads to the door)Johnny! Francis!

Johnny(and Francis rushed to answer Sonny’s summons)Yes, boss.

Sonny: Keep pouring booze down his throat until he passes out. Then dump him in the alley amongst the trash where he belongs.

AJ(yelled after Sonny)I won’t let you get away with stealing my life!

Sonny(turned back to him and glared at him coldly)Guess what, AJ, I already have.
