CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

SONNY’S PENTHOUSE:

Sonny(on the phone holding one finger to his ear to hear what Benny is saying over the noise in the penthouse)Benny, any news on the kid, yet.

Carly(directing one of the moving men trying to get the tub through the front door)I’m warning you, buddy. You put one scratch on that tub, I’m taking it out of your hide.

Sonny: Well, keep looking.(he hangs up the phone then turns to Carly and the moving man)I told you that thing wouldn’t fit through the front door.

Carly: It’ll fit. If people can fit grand pianos through their doors, we can fit this tub through ours. Any news on Lucas.

Sonny: Not yet.

Carly: Sonny, you don’t think anything bad has happened to him, do you?

Sonny: I’d like to say no, but he’s just a kid. I’m a living example that bad things can happen to kids and they don’t have to be missing for it to happen. It can happen right under their own roofs.

Carly: What about Sorel. You don’t think he’s taken Lucas to get at you like he did with my mother.

Sonny: I don’t think so. He’s been keeping a pretty low profile since what went down with Bobbie.

Moving Man(and his partner finally get the tub through the front door)All right, Lady, what do you want us to do with it, next.

Carly: Take it upstairs and be careful. That’s precious cargo you’ve got.

Moving Man(looks at the stairs)Boy, you don’t want much, do you.

Carly: I don’t know what you’re complaining about. You’re being well-paid for this.(the phone suddenly rings.)

Sonny(answers it)Hello. (he listens to the other end for awhile before hanging up)Thanks.

Carly: Well.

Sonny: They’ve found him and you’ll never guess where he is.

HELENA’S YACHT:

Andreas(giving Helena a massage)Now that Emily Quartermaine is out of your reach, just what are you going to do, Madam.

Helena: Try to find her. Despite what Mr. Corinthos thinks, I’m sure my people can track her down. And now it’s become almost a principle for me to find her and reveal the truth to her and have her be a donor for Stefan just to show both Mr. Corinthos and Mr. Ashton that I can’t be thwarted when I make up my mind about something. I’ll also take great joy in causing some trouble for the big-mouth hooker, as well. What have my people dug up on Mr. Corinthos.

Andreas: Well, as you know, he’s currently living with Carly Benson.

Helena: I have no interest in who he’s sleeping with. Skip to the important details.

Andreas: You know he runs the mob. Before Jasper Jacks left town, he also gave Mr. Corinthos total control over ELQ International.

Helena: A criminal empire and a corporate empire. That’s really too much for one man to have. I wonder which one I should take away from him.

SPOON ISLAND:

Sonny(and Carly are hiding in the bushes watching as Stefan plays with Lucas)It’s incredible. Everyone is worried about Lucas, and he’s having the time of his life with Cassadine.

Carly: Do you think he kidnapped Lucas?

Sonny: No, look at him. That’s a picture of a kid who is exactly where he wants to be. Didn’t you tell me Bobbie’s been having some problems with Lucas because of Roy.

Carly: Yeah, he really doesn’t like Roy and he doesn’t want to live at the brownstone if Roy is living there, too.

Sonny: So Lucas must have come here when Bobbie was going to make him move back to the brownstone. When things were bad at home for me, I’d always run off to the Cerullos, a place where I had happy times. I guess Lucas had some happy times when he was living here with Cassadine.

Carly: So, what are we going to do next. Go in and take Lucas.

Sonny: No, this is Bobbie’s problem, not ours. The ball is in her court, now. We’ll tell her where Lucas is and let her decide what she wants to do next.

Carly: I sure wouldn’t want to be in Cassadines shoes when Bobbie finds out about this.

WHEREABOUTS UNKNOWN:

The Man(as Larken sits on a veranda sipping at a Mai Tai.) I’ve been rethinking our plans. I think we need to get the charges against you dropped and have you reinstated in the FBI. Our plans will be more effective if you’re not a fugitive from the law.

Larken: How? DeLucca and Corinthos provided the bureau with a lot of damaging information against me.

The Man: Most of it can be written off as a frame job by Corinthos and DeLucca.

Larken: What about me kidnapping Hannah and shooting Corinthos.

The Man: In her own way, Hannah Scott is just as dirty a fed as you are. We’ll use her past actions to claim she was involved in the set-up to frame you for being a dirty agent. And in no time at all you’ll be back in your old job at the FBI. Then we can move against Corinthos and DeLucca.
