CHAPTER FOURTEEN
HELENA’S BEDROOM, HER YACHT:
Sonny(is laying on Helena’s bed when she comes out of her bathroom wrapped in a bath towel)Hello, Mrs. Cassadine.
Helena(holds a hand to her beating heart)Mr. Corinthos, what are you doing here.
Sonny:(pops a grape in his mouth)Waiting for you. Why else would you be here?
Helena: If you were so anxious to see me, you could have always joined me in the tub. (she looks him up and down in a suggestive way)I assure you, you would have been more than welcome.
Sonny(flashes his dimples at her)You live up to your reputation, Mrs. Cassadine.
Helena: (focuses her attention on the zipper of his pants)But do you live up to yours, Mr. Corinthos. (she throws her head and laughs)Why, I do believe you’re blushing. Don’t feel bad, Mr. Corinthos. I’ve been playing this game long before you were a toddler crying in your crib because you made a mess in your nappies. Compared to me, you’re still wet behind the ears. I was about to drop my towel and give you a good eyeful, but I’ll take pity on you and I won’t toy with you any longer. What do you want?
Sonny: I just came to inform you you’ll have to look elsewhere for a kidney for your son.
Helena(drops her friendly demeanor)What is that supposed to mean.
Sonny: Tammy Carson is a friend of mine. She told me about your visit. Ned Ashton and I figured out what you were up to and we took the appropriate actions to stop you dead in your tracks. As we speak, Emily is jetting far away from Port Charles on a round-the-world concert tour with Juan Santiago. They won’t be staying in one place long enough for you to be able to track them down.
Helena: How dare you interfere with my plans like this.
Sonny: There’s not much I don’t dare.
Helena: You will live to regret sticking your nose in my business, Mr. Corinthos. That’s a promise.
Sonny: Save your empty threats, Mrs. Cassadine. There’s nothing you can do to me.
Helena: Why must you men always say the same thing to me in that annoying, posturing, demeaning, arrogant, macho tone of voice all big, brave men use on the little woman to let her know she‘s powerless against you. There’s nothing you can do to me. I always take it as a personal challenge and delight in proving just how wrong you are. Your friend Luke Spencer used to say that to me, as well. Do you think he’s saying the same thing now.
Sonny: Mrs. Cassadine, why waste your time getting your petty revenge on me when you could be scouring skid row in search of a kidney donor for your son.
Helena: Know one thing, Mr. Corinthos. If I decide to get revenge on you. The last thing it will be is petty.
TONY’S APARTMENT:
Tony(opens the door to Bobbie) Bobbie, what are you doing here?
Bobbie; Tony, I told you I was going to pick Lucas up, tonight, and take him back to the brownstone with me. I’m sorry I’m so late. Roy and I got involved and I just lost track of the time.
Tony: I thought you came and picked Lucas up hours ago.
Bobbie: What are you talking about?
Tony: Bobbie, you were supposed to pick Lucas up at school hours ago.
Bobbie: I forgot. I just assumed the school would have called you and you would have picked him up for me.
Tony: Well, they didn’t. My god, Bobbie. Where is Lucas!
WYNDEMERE:
Mrs. Lansbury(watches as Stefan tucks Lucas into his bed)Mr. Cassadine, shouldn’t you call Ms. Spencer and tell her that her son is here. She must be going out of her mind with worry.
Stefan: I will, eventually. I’ll tell her exactly where her son is, but not until I feel she’s suffered enough, first.
Mrs. Lansbury: But couldn’t she try to accuse you of kidnapping him the same way Laura Spencer accused you of kidnapping her son, Lucky.
Stefan: I’d like to see her try. Let her explain to a court that she’s such a lousy mother she can’t even keep track of her son. I just wish someone would have done this to my mother when I was a boy. Either it would have forced her to be a decent mother to me or I would have been placed in a home where I had decent parents. Maybe I should even send Barbara a ransom note to give her a real good scare. What do you think, Mrs. Lansbury? Or would that be going too far.
