CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

THE GROUNDS SURROUNDING QUEEN OF ANGELS CHURCH:

Mac(watches as Tammy’s body is loaded into the back of the Coroner’s wagon.)It was just like Chloe said. Tammy was the next victim of the Sex Toy Stalker. I should have listened to her and put someone on Tammy.

Taggart(suspiciously)Real convenient the way Ms. Morgan always knows whose going to die next, isn‘t it?

Mac; Just what are you getting at, Taggart?

Taggart: You know exactly what I’m getting at. It’s just a little too convenient for me that she knows who just died or who is about to die next.

Mac: Taggart, she’s psychic.

Taggart: So she claims. She also told you she has Jasper Jacks thinking she’s something she’s not. I bet he has no idea his little Golden Girl slipped between the sheets with you, does he? She’s taking Jasper Jacks for a ride and she could be doing exactly the same thing to you. We have no proof that she’s psychic. For all we know she could know whose going to be the next victim because she’s the killer, herself.

Mac: Taggart, I think you’re way off-base. My cop instincts are telling me she’s on the level.

Taggart: And just what are your cop instincts basing this on? The way she makes you feel in bed?

Mac: You’re way out of line, Taggart.

Taggart: And you’re thinking with your zipper, Mac. You and I both know we have absolutely no evidence that proves Chloe Morgan is on the level. She could very well be the Sex Toy Stalker and now that Corinthos’ wedding is over, she could just sail out of our jurisdiction and get away with murdering Hannah.

Mac: It looks like I’m not the only one letting his zipper do his thinking for him. I know how you felt about Hannah Scott, but pinning the crime on Chloe isn’t going to make you feel better.

Taggart: It will if she’s our killer. I’ll tell you what I’ll do Mac. If you’ll consider the fact Chloe Morgan is the Sex Toy Stalker, I’ll consider she isn’t. Is it a deal?

HELENA’S YACHT:

Helena: So, what can you tell me about the police investigation on the Sex Toy Stalker that I don’t know.

Garcia: Chloe Morgan claims she’s psychic or something. She predicted in advance that Tammy Carson would die. Mac’s kind of buying her story, but Taggart isn’t. He thinks Morgan might be the Sex Toy Stalker, herself.

Helena: Have the police have any other suspects beside Chloe Morgan?

Garcia: No, Mac and Taggart have gone through the files on previous sex crimes and none match this.

Helena: Thank you, Detective Garcia. As usual, you will be will rewarded for your assistance in this matter.

Andreas(watches as Garcia leaves)What does all this mean, Madame?

Helena: That Chloe Morgan hasn’t realized we’re the Sex Toy Stalker and that the police suspect her of the crimes, herself. Which is absolutely wonderful for us, since when this whole thing is over, we’ll need someone to pin the crimes on.

Andreas: So Chloe Morgan won’t be out next victim.

Helena: No, she’s become to valuable to us. Instead of finding some pervert to take the fall for us, Ms. Morgan will. But the future killings must be done in a way to force the police into believing without a shadow of a doubt that Chloe Morgan is the Sex Toy Stalker.
