IS IT THE END FOR S&C?

Some moments from Sonny and Carly's romantic evening.

The week began with so much promise, but by week's end it was about to end in disaster. Sonny and Carly's passionate kiss was broken by Carly dropping the jewelry box on her foot because she got so carried away by kissing Sonny. Then she asked Sonny to put the ruby necklace on her. Once he did that, Sonny began to kiss her passionately again, and things quickly got out of control and their passion took over. Carly, however broke away from a very passionate Sonny asking that they not become lovers just yet. That he has this incredible physical effect on her and she wants them to take things slow. Then Carly ran upstairs before she could lose her resolve, not letting Sonny tell her what he wanted to say. The evening ended with a restless and sexually frustrated Carly trying to sleep, while Sonny held up a champagne glass they bore Carly's lipstick print on it.

Things were still going well between Sonny and Carly the next day, then Mike showed up with a wedding present and everything was blown apart. Sonny discovered that Mike had borrowed another ten grand from a loan shark and was gambling again. They both said horrible things to each other, then Mike did the one thing Sonny never thought he'd do to him. He slapped him. Carly rushed in to protect Sonny and threw Mike out, while Sonny almost began to cry, then he bottled up all his feelings inside of him and pretended he was just fine. When Carly tried to pushed him to talk about what he was feeling he pushed her away and ran out of the penthouse.

A few days later Carly was still trying to push through the wall Sonny had put up, and he rebuffed her again, telling her she can't help him. Carly stormed off. She headed to Jake's Pool Hall where she told the Borg he lost his bet because things are going rotten between her and Sonny. After some coaxing, Carly told him about Mike hitting Sonny. The Borg once again assured Carly that Sonny married her because he wanted to marry her.

Meanwhile Sonny poured out his feelings to Baby Michael. He told him that Carly wants to take care of him, but she wants him to do something he just can't handle and because he pushed her away he knows that he's hurt her, but he vowed he was going to make it up to Carly. Then he went to Jake's looking for Jason and found him as Carly climbed into his lap and hugged him for making her feel hope about her and Sonny. Unfortunately to Sonny that moment looked anything but the innocent moment it actually way.

Sonny hid as Carly left, then he told Jason Carly was right to run upstairs during their wedding ceremony because they should have never gotten married. He can't give Carly what she wants and he's not the right man for her. Carly wants a husband who will cuddle with her on the couch and bare his soul to her, and any other husband would do that, but that was just something he couldn't do because he's different. The Borg tried to give Sonny a pep talk and told Sonny it would work out, and Sonny said he knew what he had to do and left. However when he got home and Carly mentioned seeing the Borg, he told Carly their marriage wasn't going to work. That she shouldn't have to be trapped married to a man she doesn't want to be married to because he's a criminal and he got in trouble. Then he announced to a shocked Carly that he was letting her go, not knowing before he came home Carly had told Bobbie that she's in love with Sonny.
