The Estate in Windham, New Hampshire

The two pictures above were taken in the Spring of 2000 of my house at 5 Abbott Road in Windham, New Hampshire. I purchased the house in May, 1999. It is situated on the shores of Rock Pond, a small pond with town imposed regulations against any type of motored boat. Hence, it is a very quiet area. It is a two bedroom cottage, with two levels. The bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, living room and dining area are on the upper level. Also on the upper level is a large screened-in porch off of the living room. The lower level is a half finished basement with a family room. Both the upper and lower levels have fireplaces that are capable of using a wood stove. The lower level has a propane gas furnace and a wood/coal stove. Both levels have electric baseboard heating installed. 

The house as purchased, was fully finished on the inside with wood paneling. However, I didn't care for finish of the bathroom, which was done over in 1950s style fixtures. So in the fall of 1999, I completely gutted it, and installed new wallboard, tile, and fixtures. While renovating the bathroom I also put a new floor in both the kitchen and bathroom. 

Directions: Take Route 495, to Route 38 North (Exit 38). Go north through Lowell, Dracut, and partially through Pelham, then, (left onto) Hobbs Road, (right onto) Simpson Mill Road, (left onto) Woodbury Road, then (left onto) Abbott Road. (Abbott Road is at the end of Woodbury Road.) My house is the second house from the end.
