                                                   March 20, 2007

"Read Around the Clock" is the main fundraising event for the School of Education.  You may sponsor a reader in the form of a donation and the proceeds go toward funding the schools' education and literacy efforts, including tuition scholarships for children and youth in the community who come to the Kathleen Muth Reading Center for support and tutoring.  This years event will take place at BJ's Restaurant and Brewery in Brea, California on March 20th.

Most that pass through the program are first or second generation americans living in poverity and may or may not speak english as their native language.  The Anthony Michael Hall Literacy Club helps these students with reading and comprehension through the use of Michael's films and scripts.  Without the literacy programs sponsored by Chapman University most of these students will drop out of school before they graduate.   Most that successfully complete the program graduate high school and continue on to college, many have come back and thanked Michael and Chapman University for helping them.  Michael recently received the Stewardship Award for his participation in the program!

So lets help Michael help the kids.  Make a donation Today!  Whatever you feel comfortable in making, every bit helps.  Below you find information on the program and a downloadable form you can fill out and mail or fax.  For those of you in the local Brea area and can attend the event there will be an auction.  A Dead Zone jacket has been donated for the event. You will need to be present to win.  If you can attend contact Bobbi Fisher at:
