From the heart of Southern by God Missourah
This site list the name of those soldiers which served in the Confederate Army during the War between the States (1861-1865). These soldiers resided in Wright,Webster, Texas, and Douglas Counties in the state of Missouri before, during, and after the War. The information on these men will basically deal with military service.

This is a "work in progress". If you know of a Confederate Veteran who is not listed on this site that was from one of the above counties or if you have further information on the men listed  (such as military records, photos, etc.) please e-mail me. Thank you.
I dedicate this website in memory of my Confederate ancestors who fought in the War for Southern Independence.

"Surrender means that the history of this heroic sturggle will be written by the enemy: that our youth will be trained by the Northern school teachers; will learn from Northern school book their version of the War; will be impressed by all the influences of history and to regard our gallant dead as traitors, and our maimed veterans as fit subjects for derision."
Gen. Pat Cleburne, CSA

Due to decades of twisted and misguided information, many people today have a completely distorted view of Confederate history. This is quite unfortunate because some of the greatest role models in American history are enshrined within the Confederacy. The Confederate soldier fought bravely against overwhelming odds, not for slavery, but for the same freedom and independence that his forefathers fought for in 1776! His sacrifices are unsurpassed and he should be remembered with honor!
"... when the government becomes destructive to these ends, it is not only the right but the duty of the people to rebel."
---Thomas Jefferson
The Declaration of Independence
Those who allow the surrender of their history, also surrender their future.
