How To Download A Graphic Image

Downloading Graphics

With most Web Browsers, you may save a file to your local hard drive. The exact steps will depend on which application you are using. Below are the steps for some of the more popular Web browsers.

NetScape

  1. Using Windows, click the mouse down with the right mouse button to see the menu.
  2. Select Save this Image As... from the pop-up menu.
  3. When prompted, save the file with an appropriate name and location.

Mosaic, or WinWeb

  1. Select Load to Disk from the Options menu
  2. Click on the link to the desired picture.
  3. When prompted, save the file with an appropriate name and location
  4. De-Select Load to Disk from the Options menu
