Pvt. John Lyndes and family (ca.1683), Co. D, 88th OVI
The 88th OVI was principally engaged in guarding prisoners at Camp Chase. Lyndes became ill in 1863. His wife Minerva came to be with her husband and consequently became ill and died at Camp Chase while John Lyndes recovered.
